Welcome to The Old Waverley, Edinburgh's oldest hotel situated on the famous Princes Street.
Superb location. But breakfast is too basic
Try and get a dinner or breakfast table at the front of the building, for the views. Avoid rooms on the side of the building - noisy!
Young and helpful stuff, haven't seen a frown on anyone's face. Excellent view.
DO NOT get an internal room. They are permanently dark and have no outlook. The windows have opaque glass. Not good enough in 21st Century Britain. They are also noisy due to the fans outside.
Great location. Nice breakfast
Great location! Pay a little more for room with view. Double room isn't small at all. Lobby is on 2nd floor... No sign to say so.
You have to pay for the WiFi WTF!!
Won't come back here. Rooms as small as a closet, inpolite staff unable to solve problems. Noisy rooms. But a Nice place in town.
Location excellent. Could do with a bit of an upgrade but the beds are comfy!
Have a room with views over Princes Street. Especially now, because of the German Christmass Market.
Make sure you book the room with views of the Edinburgh Castle. It's a rare opportunity to sleep in a room with the castle just outside your window.
Can't find the switch for the towel rail? Check outside the bathroom next to the light switch.
The Cranston's Restaurant here serves traditional Scottish cuisine--simply fantastic. Great views from here as well.
Great location and nice staffs :)
This place sucks and you should see the room; it's the size if a closet with a twin bed. Horrible service. The good reviews must be from old people or the dead!
Ask for table 5 in the restaurant. Probably the best seat in Edinburgh,
Great place for a sneaky wee drink in the cafe here!
Very nice hotel - friendly staff, great location.
