People tend to check in during these times:
Soaring above the city at 1,776 feet, One World Trade Center is America's tallest building - and an indelible New York landmark. The 2.6-million-square-foot building includes office space, an observation deck, world-class restaurants, and broadcast and antennae facilities.
The trade center's twin 110-story towers, the planet's tallest buildings when they officially opened in 1973, were destroyed in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks against the U.S.
On Sep 11th 2013, New York marked the 12th anniversary of the 911 attack on the World Trade center. Always remember the ones we lost!
Though it may still look like a construction site, this tower will eventually house the new Conde Nast HQ, which will take up nearly a million square feet of office space.
The Tower is being built. Clouds cover the unbuilt portion, so this photo gives a good Gestalt-type idea of what it will look like.
A memorial park is already open and soon an office tower and museum will follow. - Green Guide Editor
It won't be the same without the twin sisters.
The tower rising on the site of the 9/11 attacks will reach 1,776 feet to symbolize the year of American independence. It’s expected to open in late 2013. – Green Guide Editor

Great photo opportunities of the clouds and sky reflecting off the building
Love seeing the development on this building each day. Taking pictures never gets old. If you are standing by the Weehawken 9/11 Memorial, look in between and you will see Freedom Tower!

Be aware of the "brochure people" handing out books. Not free. $20.00 but you can negotiate down to $5.
God bless those who sacrificed their lives to help others..and may God have mercy on the souls who took those lives out of pure evil. We will never forget! Today, we ride!
Amazing progress but all of the commercialism is very distracting.
It's been more than 10 years, but the new World Trade Center is almost complete and it's awe-inspiring.
