Brunch all day, craft beers on tap, a thoughtful wine selection, Counter Culture coffee and a menu of fresh and delicious options.
Animal crackers with your coffee
The Open City burger is a winner. Topped with melted aged white cheddar and thick cut, smoky bacon, it's served on a squishy, sesame-seeded potato bun. It's so choice.
Sit outside if you're able, but we warn you: The wait is often lengthy on weekends. The gluten-free options are excellent for those in need of them.
Try the grits. Yummy
Excellent chai bombs. Also usually have good Belgium beer on tap.
Try the Chai Tea Waffle, with any new-waver coffee.
Eat a Chai tea waffle, any time of day!
The bloody mary's are effing amazing!
Try the Cuban coffee
Try the vegan burger. And come on Sunday nights for the adorable bartender, Mick.
Killer free wifi, patio, lattes
Great coffee - really. I always grab a red-eye when I'm in this part of town.
If you're in the mood for a breakfast drink, ask for an "OC 7." It's a combo of orange juice, orange vodka, and champagne. It's not currently on the menu, but some bartenders know it.
Try the Mean Green. Calzone - Nice presentation. Tasty dough (via @Foodspotting)
Leave a good tip! The servers work really hard!
and you must have the Croque madame! If you love coffee, this is also a great alternative to Starbucks...love my Bucks but still this is a fun local place for Brunch!
Monday nights you get any burger and draft for $10. I got the Open City burger with cheddar and applewood-smoked bacon on a potato roll. Medium rare.
If you want to get seated, bring 7 babies with you, otherwise they will ignore you. Parties of two have to wait at least an hour for brunch (idea for future: invest in fake strollers).
The vegan scramble is great!
Breakfast. All. Day. Long.
Service is bad
This is not in Chevy Chase, MD - it is in DC. Great staff, good food and reliable.
Chai tea waffle for brunch, pesto chicken pizza for dinner.
Great chai tea and Sweet potato pancakes.
frozen chaipuccino is awesome!
I bring EVERYONE who comes to visit me here. It's worth whatever the wait time, because it has something for every palette.
Avoid this place: dirty, unfriendly, not flexible at all! Really bad experience!
Ask to be in Richard's section AKA the Crazy Uncle. He was great with the kids, great with menu suggestions and provided wonderful service! Try the OC Royale for a good variety.
Fantastic breakfast. Try the chai tea waffles or the egg, bacon and cheddar scramble.
Great brunch so so desserts.
For dinner, brunch, lunch.. anytime, really.
Cori is the best!
Green iced tea is infused with pineapple!!
Gluten free chocolate cake is wonderful (even if you don't have to worry about gluten!).
Good bloody mary.
Arepas is a definite no go. Woof.
Order the green iced tea - it has JUST A HINT of pineapple. ;-)
They have Grits!!!! Love grits
Come at an off-peak hour to relax and enjoy the atmosphere! The coffee is too good not to spend a while with it. Loved the chorizo and scallion scramble. A DC fave!
Try any tea, but if its hot out the iced tea is soo good, even unsweetened.
It's ALWAYS packed on weekends but worth the wait. Great family and date place.
Tilapia BLT is the bomb
Jumbo coffee and great food. Enjoy!
Vibrant but casual atmosphere. Consistently great food and coffee. A local favorite.
Try the Gewurztraminer wine, super good!
A great place to grab a cup of joe and wish you could sit down.
Usually love everything. However, stay away from the black bean and chorizo omelet. An entire un-drained can of black beans wrapped in a egg.
