If you want to order an Uber instead of a cab, go to the paypoint at the exit of the parking lot at Arrivals. Your driver will meet you there.

Prices of alcohol in the city (supermarkets) are considerably lower then the duty free shops. Duty free shops accept only € or $.

If you're on the 7 am Paris or Amsterdam flights be prepared for a huge line to drop luggage off, or watch for points 17-18 where there's no line and unadvertisedly take in luggage for the two flights

If you don't want to take a cab to go downtown, you can use the public transportation. It's really cheap - 3,50 RON - and fast. Also, the coffee from Gloria Jean's is the best!

Lifehack: if you have the time, find the supermarket and get dirty cheap croissants, fruits, beer and other stuff. Difference in price tenfold.

Small but efficient. They renewed the airport partially and it is still quite big compared to number of passengers. Have a look at the dead left cars in the airport parking place :)

Attention: if you have some lei (RON) left, you can't use them to pay in the duty free shop, they only accept euros (EUR), even if Romania isn't part of the Euro zone!

Be aware of taxi drivers frauds. They will complain about their lives and then make you pay more. The most famous trick: "I don't have a change".
