Seriously awesome tacos - there's only 5 types to choose from but they're all delicious, and there's something for everyone. Don't pass on the chips and guac either though!

I am a bit of a weenie when it comes to spicy foods so I can't really handle the chicken or carne asada tacos. But the carnita tacos are perfect! Love the cilantro, raw onion, salsa and pulled pork!!!

I like the Carne Asada tacos best! The salsa is awesome with the chips. The masa fries are good but it's too similar to the tortilla used in the taco. Definitely the best taco in the east village!!

Carne Asada + guac was terrific! Cilantro and onions are mega fresh and the handmade corn tortillas are out of this world. 3+ tacos are needed for it to feel like dinner but I'm just a hungry dude.

Three tacos is good as a meal for one. Honestly they all taste pretty similar so choose for your favorite meat / texture (pulled pork vs grilled chicken) and just get 3 of the same with your Modelo

I could write a novel about the carnitas at Otto's - but I won't, because it'd take away from your experience. Consume this carnitas and embrace it. Love it with your mouth. It will love you back.

These Tacos are some if the best in the city...but when it's not too crowded order the "Gorgon" Carnitas, Guacamole & Special sauce on a special fry bread...muy bueno! Drink w/Horchata

Mushroom and shrimp tacos are perfect for a late night snack. (Just have to remember to hold the extra cilantro they pile on if you're not a fan)

The shrimp tacos are amazeballs. The carnitas I could pass on. I will be trying the carne asada next time as I hear it is also bomb. Very nice staff, but not too much seating!

Ask for the off-the-menu Gorgon - a supersize fresh-masa tortilla deep-fried to a delicate crisp, then stuffed with guacamole, carne asada, serrano-chile crema, onion, and cilantro

Fresh made corn tortillas are their gimmick. A good gimmick. The fillings are all good and I love that they have uncompromised vegetarian and pescatarian options. Hope they expand.

I'm not compelled to leave tips often but this place is ridiculous! The carne asada were the best I've ever had. Don't skip the massa fries or the horchata. I'd come back to the e vill just for Otto.

Unexpectedly kinda spicy. Everything also kinda skews towards salty, so grab a drink. But 2 tacos + masa fries here has got to be one of the best casual meals in the east village

Order the Gorgon - fried masa "taco" with crane asada, guac and crema. Not on the menu, but naughty and delicious...One is plenty!

get the shrimp taco and the masa fries, with crema on the side- or the off the menu gorgon which is basically a deep fried puffy taco. Wish I had photos to share but #drunkeats

If you're veggie, go for the mushroom tacos they are amazing. Steer clear of the rice and beans though as they're made with pork fat.

Tasting Table says: "LA-inspired grab-and-go taqueria. Pick from carne asada, carnitas, chicken, shrimp and mushroom tacos along with sides like masa fries with chipotle sauce."

Do not leave without getting the masa fries! So so good! The carne Asada and shrimp tacos were my favorite. Can't go wrong getting anything off this menu. Stop in!

Definitely got a west coast vibe and the employees are all down to earth. Order, grab a seat (space is pretty limited) and wait for them to call your name. They'll also bring the food to you!

The churro was freshly made, as well as the dipping sauce. The sauce is perfect and you'll want to double dip. Honestly the best churro I've ever had!

best eaten in - their corn tortillas get soggy very quickly but are oh so good. mushrooms are surprisingly excellent if you have veg friends in tow.

Finally great street style tacos decently priced and in a relaxed environment. This is street food and they do it properly. This city needs more of this.

My runner up favorite to Taqueria Lower East Side. I grab a carne asada & carnitas taco each, and then stack with rice & beans and guacamole.

The carne asada is pretty killer. Also, the side guacamole is a huge portion so if you're ordering chips, no need to pay extra for it on the tacos as well.

Buy one taco for a snack, two or three for a meal. Don't worry about trying them all at once — the close proximity to NYU & delicious tacos will make you come back. (We sure did!)

The churro's are the best. If eating there, wait to order the churro's until after your meal so you can have them when they are super fresh.

The vegetarian mushroom tacos are little slices of heaven. Perfectly spicy. Add the guacamole. 3 is needed if you're hangry. Cornmeal fries, eh.

Eat your tacos outside in the nice weather with their fenced in outdoor seating space. And jugs of Valentina hot sauce never hurt anyone.

Horchata was good, but only because helped wash down the nearly inedible tacos. CA, Carnitas, Chicken... all uber dry and leave you feeling like you have a brick in your stomach #skipit

Getting two tacos? Get guacamole on one and split it. It's just the right amount for two!
