    Just come for an expensive cocktail in the lobby to admire the beautiful ceiling and chandeliers. Service took too long but hey, free roasted almonds and live music on a thursday night.

    Pluses: excellent concierge team, comfortable beds. Minuses: all the rest, namely no security in an area that demands it, poor F&B offering, bad sound insulation in rooms. Not up to par for 4 stars.

    Check out garden court. Even if you don't have brunch here, it's beautiful and this is one of the oldest hotels in San Francisco.

    This hotel is beautiful!! Beds are very comfortable & they even have robes! Also no coffee makers in the room BUT just ask & one will be brought up for free with lots if coffee, teas, cream & sugar!

    Super thin walls. Bring earplugs for your stay. Parents with kids aren't considerate enough to stop them from running down the halls screaming at 8am.

    I heard good things but this place is way overpriced for the experience. Didn't feel "welcome" at all. Staff never says 'hi' even when you walk right by them. No coffee & $15 Wifi sucks too.

    Stayed here the weekend after Christmas. Beautiful hotel, but the service sucks. Everything takes too long. Severely understaffed at holidays. Good food, drinks, but no subs allowed for anything.

    Stayed here every year for the last 16+ years for the debutante ball. Beautiful hotel, very nice staff, garden court brunch is amazing but make reservations early. Indoor pool gym and spa great!

    If you're at Montgomery BART and need a bathroom, you can go into the Palace and use theirs and they probably won't notice. Despite the "guest only" signs that's where BART attendants will send you
