My favorite place in all of Rome! Some 2000 years old and still kicking! Spring for an audio tour to get the full experience, stop by Raphael's tomb and admire the amazing engineering! 😄🇮🇹

Beautiful! No fee for tickets, but make sure there isn't a mass going on, they may have the public leave early. It is now a church. At night when it is closed it is also very energetic with people

This structure is fascinating and incredible. It was built almost 2,000 years ago... wrap your brain around that. Amazing. The oculus is remarkable — a cool experience should it start to rain.

free entrance, go during the day to see the sun shine through the oculus, get lost in the neighborhood. be aware of all the tourist traps, it is a tourist attraction as is everything else near by.

Amazing! It was my favourite site in Rome. Don't need more than 15-20 minutes inside, but spend time in the piazza and take it all in early in the morning over a cappuccino!

One of Rome’s most ancient buildings, the Pantheon was built for none other than the Roman Gods themselves. It features a lot of Rome’s history and is truly a majestic place to visit. Read more

The line moves really quick! Must visit and feel the interior. Fascinating to see the the world's largest unreinforced concrete dome, even after 2000 years!

Antic temple of the Seven Gods, rebuilt by emperor Hadrian in 126 AD; currently a church. Famous for its large dome, it's the oldest brick building in the world, still having the original roofing 😀

If you can, go in the morning or evening when the sun casts a stream of light directly through the iris. Or in the rain to see the 2000 year plumbing in action.

The Pantheon is the best-preserved ancient building in Rome. It was built (and possibly designed) by Hadrian in AD 119-128 as a temple to the 12 most important classical deities.

The piazza is small but nice. Pantheon church doesn't require any tickets. I strongly recommend Di Rienzo restaurant for their Pomodoro spaghetti& Capatchino

If you're looking for an authentic bite nearby, hit up Armando al Pantheon. It's completely legit and usually devoid of tourists. Reservations are a good idea, but it never hurts to try.

Alexander VII Chigi restored the ancient temple, where in its bricked-up portico vendors had their stalls. Also he laid the piazza below the portico, because the temple had 'sunken' below street level

A must-see when you roam in Rome. Always crowded; best to come very early in the morning. Free (no admission); because it is a church, they want you to not wear shorts.

Built by Hadrian around AD 119-128, it was originally a temple to the classical deities and remains a church today, holding the tombs of the united Italy's first king and the artist Raphael.

When you're finished looking up at the incredible domed ceiling, look down and admire the gently sloped marble floor and minute holes which allows rain water to drain away during bad weather.

Largest dome of it's time. Note the sloped floors and the symmetry of the building. The 16 columns at the entrance way were from Egypt. Incredible
