    The food is delicious! For desert I had the "duraznos asados con mascarpone" (grilled peaches with mascarpone) and they were put of this world!

    First: get a reservation. If you don't, get there before 1 PM and try to get a seat at the bar. All drinks are great but the caipiroska mediterranea is a must. Ask for the dulce de leche cheesecake.

    For drinks try the signature mojito frozen, if you are having a bottle of wine I strongly recommend the Montevideo 2012 (blend of three grapes) and dessert MUST Dulce De Leche Volcano!! Don't miss it!

    The shrimp empanadas are excellent, as are the shrimp w/curried potatoes, octopus, cheese & onion tart, and lime curd tart. We all loved our food. The owners, especially Martín, are very attentive.

    The Cazuela de Corvino was an odd dish, more like a soup, not stew-y like other S. Am. cazuelas. Go for the grilled fish of the day instead. Chipirones are great. Well-stocked, beautiful bar, wines.

    Came to Jose Ignacio from Punta del Este and it immediately started raining. Luckily La Huella was here to give us shelter, unbelievably fast service, and some of the best food we've ever eaten.

    They regularly take 30+ minutes to bring the check. After asking 3-5 times, tell them that you're leaving in 5 minutes with or without the check. Your meal is free about half the time.
