Pepper steak wit whiz. Really delicious. Hits the spot . Super fast service , Cash only and can be hard to get a seat. Other than that I'd stop here every trip in Philly.

Awesome cheesesteak. As a first timer I preferred Pat's over Geno's but my wife is vise-versa. Don't forget the cherry peppers.

Visitors can't make a trip to Philadelphia without trying the famous Pat's cheesesteak. Since 1930, this iconic establishment has been making Philly cheesesteaks on fresh Italian rolls.

Two lines, one for drink and one for food. If you're in a party, divide and conquer. One person scope out seats, one get food, and one get drinks.

These are the best steaks obviously. Don't forget to learn the secret code language or be shamed in front of all your friends as you move to the back of the line

Disgusting food . HORRIBLE RUDE EMPLOYEES. SERVICE IS AWFUL. My boyfriend and I got treated like dirt, employees feel like they have a sense of entitlement.

If you enjoy lots of cheese, you're better off w/Whiz not (white)American. Overall the meat was a bit chewy, I preferred Geno's. It was my 1st time but, I tried both.

Horrible for gluten free folks -- they refuse to give you the insides without the bread and are rude when you ask if there's any alternative they can make.

First window is for steak sandwiches only. Second for fries and drinks. Don't ask the first window because they'll look at you crazy, and say "second window" P.S. Cash only!!

Better meat than Geno's but staff's very pushy to move the line. Know what you want ahead of time if possible. They should put some menu signs near beginning of line.

Good food and believe its better than geno's but rude employees! Asked a simple question and felt attacked! If they r to be in battle wth geno's I would just go next store just to see a smile

We did the official taste test. Side by side. Geno's might be prettier, but Pats steaks are less roll, more Whiz, not as greasy and staff is much friendlier. Genos did have the cool peppers though.

Meat is wonderful. Cheese is scrumptious. Pat's King of Steaks is a masterpiece that you must have especially when you're in Philly. Chucho from Cali, Colombia loves it. Shit talkers shouldn't opine

Go for the Roast Poark sandwhiches before you try their Cheesesteak. It seems to be better seasoned. Trust me on this one!

Honestly, Roccos cheesesteaks at Home Depot here in Queens New York are better than these. When youre in Philly, you go to Jims. Its just a tourist destination with dissappointing food. Sadness.

Tried Geno's & Pat's- Pat's is better hands down! The difference? At Pat's the steak was chopped up, with the cheese whiz on top of all of the toppings instead of the bun. Much better!!!

Know what u want. You'll be greeted with rude and rushed service. Honestly the rudest people I've meet behind the counter. Cheesesteaks are good but not after being treated like scum.

Be careful: If you're not a fan of onions, they tend to get mixed in with the meat since they're cooked so closely from one another. If you're a "wit" kind of person, then you'll have no problem!

Do the Cheesesteak Challenge - have one from Pat's and one from Geno's and then pick your side of the street. When you order from either, just specify your type of cheese and whether you want onions.

Drive around the block twice to nab great parking, and say thank you to the guys taking your order, nothing brings a bigger smile to there face when some one gives them an authentic "thank you".

Order FAST. They don't want to wait! Say: "Steak with and wiz" ("with" means onions. Say "without", if you don't want them. I highly recommend "with", though.) Don't order any cheese! Wiz is the way!

Opened in 1930, Pat's chops its steak while Geno's does not. Grab one of the 1,500 steak sandwiches they make daily - "wit" or "wit-out," your choice.

Best cheese steaks in Philly, go for the classic "Wiz Wit"- that's with onions and cheese whiz; there's no time to waste, so have your order ready, get it right, or get to the back of the line.

Coke was watered down to nothing, went to geno's and it was spot on. I know it was just a coke, but with a mouth full of steak, it matters.
