The Prefecture was a good cocktail! They sell signed copies of the PDT cocktail book! You can also order from the hot dog place from inside the bar.

When making reservations, ask to be seated at the bar, watching their mixologist at work is a spectacle.

Get a dog, get some friends, and be prepared to wait most of the night. It's worth it.

Delicious cocktails at okay prices (15 dollars per, basically) and the speakeasy style itself is what's best. Tax included in price. Service is stellar.

Really fun spot for guests; if you live here, there's cocktail bars that has less of a wait! Kitschy and cozy decor and exposed brick inside.

For such a tiny bar PDT’s reputation is vast, due in part to its phone booth-in-a-hot-dog-stand entrance and ubiquitous bartender-proprietor Jim Meehan. Read more

The phone booth gimmick is kind of stupid. Once you're in the actual space, it's nothing particularly special. Good drinks though!

Quiet, dark, private atmosphere. Good, strong cocktails. Our favorite was Benton's Old Fashioned. I regretted going after dinner because I was too full to enjoy the complimentary hot dogs we received.

Definitely a tourist destination. But for good reason; it's a fun story! But for the price, you could find or make many more fun stories in the area. Easy one here though. Not a bad choice at all.

It can be difficult to snag a seat, but the wait is worth it, especially for their signature cocktails, like the "Staggerac," a strong Sazerac made with 140-proof bourbon and absinthe. Read more
