Inside the Dallas Farmer's Market is the unassuming Pecan Lodge. We insist you get the brisket. [Eater 38 Member]
Best brisket and sausage combo in Dallas. Get the jalapeño and bacon mac 'n cheese!
When you taste the beef ribs, angels will cry, children will laugh, world peace will be achieved, and you will reach a state of total nirvana.
Get "The Pitmaster" a massive sandwich piled high w/beef, pork & sausage, BBQ sauce & slaw topped w/fresh jalapeños on a bun made in house.
The best brisket I've ever had. And the ribs weren't too shabby themselves. In the pantheon of smoked meat.
Greatest brisket can be found at the Pecan Lodge!
The chicken is brined overnight, single-coated in a flour mixture, and fried at a high temperature to keep it moist and crispy. The only seasoning: a pinch of onion powder and black pepper.
Order yours with mac and cheese garnished with a sprinkle of crunchy, smoky bacon.
OMG 1 LBS Beef Rib!
The "Hot Mess" is amazing! Sweet potato stuffed with barbacoa, cheese, butter, green onions and chipotle sour cream. Easily feeds 2 people.
really awesome fried chicken!
Try the best brisket in the 214.
The brisket is world class. That's just generally accepted. However, the beef rib was a real surprise. You order em one at a time, they weigh over a pound a piece and they're as good as the brisket.
Plain mac&cheese, no dressing on the cole slaw, totally not worth the 2 hours wait on the line...
Hot Mess, Mac n' Cheese
Their fried chicken is crunchy on the outside and perfectly juicy on the inside. Mac-n-cheese packs good flavor without being heavy.
I'll leave the first tip. Didn't get to try it...they sold out. But enjoy anyway.
Get here early! Expect a long line. They're only open Th-Sun 11-3pm.
The HOT MESS is amazing!
The Texas Tumbleweed Cookie is delish. Get one when you order and have it as an appetizer.
Collard greens are sweet and delicious. Best bbq I've had!!!
Beef brisket was the standout. The beef rib was huge & looked amazing but it was too fatty.
If you want a smaller / cheaper (yet just as filling) option, get the Pitmaster. It comes with brisket and sausage.
Well, let's see - try everything. And take a seat AFTER YOU ORDER. Play it cool.
If someone in your group buys 5 lbs of meat or more, you can bypass the long line and go through the express line.
Get there early, wait in line, and enjoy the best BBQ in DFW. It is totally worth the wait.
Get here as early as possible. The line is long and come around 1:00 they start running out of items. Have never had BBQ that requires NO sauce! Totally awesome & worth the trip. Lived up to the hype!
If you get 5lb of meat or more, you get to go in an express line!
Get here early ;) finally at the front of the line, after 2& 1/2 hours :)
Ribs, brisket and sausage are all worth the wait
Pitmaster was... perfection.
Try the brisket sandwich and find a place to nap afterwards
Closed on Mondays. And tuesdays
Everything here is worth the wait, the Mac and Cheese is creamy, the meat is smoky, and the staff remember your name after taking your order. Get there about 30 before opening and hear the bell call.
The two meat plate is amaazziinnnggggggg
Definitely lived up to the reviews. This place was delicious. The beef brisket was so tender and good.
The BBQ is great,a must try in Dallas but the sides are a bit expensive for what they are. Their new location is great and the express line for large orders is very convenient.
The food is great! Additionally the service and the place has good atmosphere.
Everything is great, but the Pitmaster Sandwich will change your life!!
Brisket and sausage were exceptional. If you sit at the bar you can order there and avoid the long line.
Skip the line and bring home leftovets with the Meat Trough: Brisket, Pulled Pork, Sausage, Pork and Beef Ribs.
Try the meat platter. The brisket & pulled pork were good. Sides are okay.
Some of the best barbecue I've had in Texas. That's saying something. So rich. So tender. So moist. So GOOD!
Lives up to the hype! Great chopped beef sandwich and fried okra! Watch the long lines though.
Unsure what all the hype is about, all the meats tasted like the were good on a gas grill, dry where it needed sauce, a lot of fat, and tastes like it was drenched gasoline :(

The brisket and beef ribs go quick so come early. If they are out, the burn ends are a good substitute. They are top notch.
Típico churrasco texano.
