If you seriously want delicious laksa, please take an afford to only walk to the end of the lane and you will discover this shop which they PREVIOUSLY SOLD IT IN THE KOPITIAM near the cendol store.
Super long queue for the famous cendol in Penang. RM2.90 per bowl, you may sit in the coffee shop few feet down the road, they'll deliver it to you hassle free. Taste wise, prefer Melaka's cendol 😊
The laksastall in the kopitiam now (updated, February) is not what you tasted previously. You can do comparison and you will definitely taste the huge different! See my previous tips ;)
Try everything at this stall and you will love every.single.plate.served. I had one of each and my fav definitely their ASSAM LAKSA AND FRIED OYSTERS!!!!!!
The Chendul here is definitely the best in Penang. Ais Kacang here is good too. It's always crowded on weekends and holidays. Follow the typical Malaysian style, stand and eat in front of the stall!
Best chendul so far. try it without the read bean though. as with most malaysian roadside shops, stand and makan!! woohoo!friendly workers and Phua CHu Kang has been here so it is officially the best!
I grew up with cendol (as we called it in Indonesia). Having the chendul here was a nice down-the-memory-lane experience! I prefer having it without red bean, just like the good old days! Pretty cool!
One of the famous chendol in Penang! It's so crowded and the queue is looong here during weekend that u hardly find a seat. But eating while standing also not bad tho hehehe
The infamous cendol is very yummy!! RM2.50, and expect to stand by the roadside to devour your dessert; fast service despite the huge crowd. Just join the queue.
Opposite down the road got a lady selling mee curry with lots of ingredient inside. Omg so good (Y) u can also order ur cendol and ask them to send it over there. Super nice lady!
Sik nyaman!Nang x nyaman! Hahahaha Especially the nasi lemak.fried chicken using recycled oil.as for the cendol ice cream.biasa jer.nothing special & the old man that cooks char kueh passed away alrdy
Awesome cold coconut green jellydessert drink in a bowl. Delicious and may not be 100% hygienic but we still love this. Fastest serving i have ever seen. Love these.
Been here last Jan’15 d taste was great. But yesterday I came again to eat d best asam laksa I’ve ever had n d taste was different! Am a bit frustrated, but d cendol is still same taste from previous.
It was really good & so was the laksa. If you come at a non peak time, u might be lucky enough to get a seat at their store. The cendol costs rm2.50, while the laksa costs rm4.
This is the blue bowl cendolstall. If you tasted orange bowl cendol, you will definitely go for the orange bowl stall. Only if you tried, you will know why i said so.
Cendol can be ordered from the stall outside to be delivered into Joo Hooi Coffeeshop. Just pay a minimal surcharge and u can enjoy it sitting down. Very long queue.
They say there's a war between the two Cendolstalls, honestly couldn't tell the difference. Try both to see what you think. It's a good food item, though. Sweet and cool.
Don't mistake Mr Tans competitor across the road, you can tell, there is no Q, and, is 10sen cheaper. Once you buy your chendol, just walk down a few shoplots to his shop, air conditioned no xtra $.
Nice chendul at road side with no place to sit. There is a coffee shop beside it, but it charge rm0.50 each bowl of chendul u bring in. Still...worth it.
Nothing better on a hot sweltering day than an ice cold bowl of chendol. There are now seats at the green shophouse (uncle will direct you there) but standing by the roadside to eat has more feel!
Been having this since I was a toddler, am surprised to see what it has become. It's still as good as I remembered! For some reason the chendol tastes better when there's a queue, less sweet. 😂
Cendol can't get any better than this. One portion may not be enough if you're super craving for Cendol. They also have to-go cup (like bubble tea cup)
awesome cendul ever! cost for rm2.30..additional charged of rm0.30 for take away..never bring into joo hooi cafe as they will charged rm0.50 for each bowl
I came here 2 days ago during a weekday. The taste was a lot stronger and tastier when the store is less busy. So try to come during non-peak times like weekday afternoons.
The cendol here is the same as the stall at jalan Penang. At least here there's proper seating and air condItion. There's more choices of chendol and also you can have your Assam laksa.
May buy and sit inside a corner shop further down a bit without charges. The small corner shop selling laksa and rojak and a lot of photos on wall.May try their laksa but not their rojak (expensive!).
is better to stand in front or beside of the stall to enjoy the Cendol... dont try to get in the coffee shop behind that stall, will ruin ur mood ! =)) i rather stand there to enjoy my cendol & Assam
