Very clear information and extremely spacious. The recent renovation was much needed. This station is the major one for the area where connections go to/from.

There's a nice little shop and cafe to buy some food from, but there's not many other places within the station. You're better off walking across the road to waitrose or into the town centre of you can

The new platform 3 is a waste of time in the mornings. They don't seem to use it even when the 7.41 is late and holds up the 50.

Do not be fooled by the Starbucks sign outside. All you will find is a sad, little shack on platform 2 with nowhere to sit but the hospital-esque waiting room. The saddest coffee of my life.

The tip about East Coast being unreliable is nonsense. They're the most reliable line in UK (statistically). First Capital Connect on the other hand are slow & you'll be in carriages older than you!

It's cheaper when travelling into London to get an FCC only ticket. FCC run some fast trains which are only a few mins slower than the express trains.

People are very rude about Peterborough. It's not that bad at all. There are plenty of worse places. Peterborough is a fen edge city with a historic Norman cathedral and modern shopping.
