    Contemporary exterior & interior. Entrance is memorable, esp. when you make the turn towards the elevators (that appear to sit on water). Be sure to look up. Really beautiful yet functional library.

    It may sound lame to relax at a library, but if you ever wanted to try this is the place! Their upstairs has amazing windows that you can enjoy the views and read a book with!

    I have been to a lot of libraries in Southern California, but I think Burton Barr is the largest public library so far. It is very organized and has a unique interior structure. Great teen section.

    Mini art lesson! The Crystal Canyon atrium is an excellent example of forced perspective; the gently sloping walls make it look deeper from the bottom than it does from the top.
