2010 Best of Houston® Winner: Best Tex-Mex Restaurant: Relax with a margarita under the palapa-covered patio outside.
Houston Press We Love Food - favorite Houston dishes - Soft-shell crab
They're not on the menu, but the Crawfish enchiladas are awesome. Comes with spinach and plain white rice. The dish is spicy, but not crazy spicy. Enjoy.
Say yes to the dulce de leche cake!
Top notch Mexican food! Been coming here for almost 20 years!

The real standouts are the authentic Mexican dishes like mole (3 kinds!) and the sublime chiles en nogada. When available, osso buco and soft shell crabs are outstanding, but not so cheap.
The best dishes are the non-typical TexMex selections. Skip the fajitas and get their soft shell crab or their take on a Mexican paella.
Best Margaritas in town. Love the Huasteca.
Moving to Kirby - the old Ninfa's location!
Luv it that it's not even 11am and they are offering me margaritas ;)
The Cochinita Pibil is subtle and sublime. I prefer visiting Pico's on weekdays when I don't have to wait for a table and can usually find a table outside under the palapa.
Authentic Mexican and Mex-Mex cuisine, serving breakfast, the best shaken margaritas, Fajitas, and soft-shell crab. Catering & delivery are also available.
Huge margaritas and good food. Pricier than the location would make you believe.
They have a mariachi band. That's great fun. Food is good, but a bit pricier than other places. Very authentic though!
Perfect weather outdoors on the patio with the huge margarita!
Try the Chilorio starter....
Powerful Margaritas, where even in the cheap ones they put high quality tequila. Great chips and two types of salsas (love their green salsa!). My favorite dish: Filete de Pescado Mojo de Ajo.
Best of Houston 2011 - Top 10 Margaritas - #6
Drink T1 Tequila, like the Karate Kid "it's the best...around"
Dinner with the neighbors. Expensive but good. This is not the place for Tex-Mex. This is Oxaca or other central Mexican food.
Split and dish with charro beans and eat them all!
House frozen Margaritas are good!
For breakfast ask for tamales with an over easy egg...then pop the yolk and let the tamale do the rest.
Love it! My wife and I had a fabulous dinner here and it was delicious! We certainly come again since it has very authentic mexican dishes.
Try The Perfect Margarita!
The Spinach Enchiladas are the best anywhere.
