Arguably the best fried chicken in New York City.
I got the chicken pot pie and it was good. Could've been warmer. The fried chicken box was on point, though. Best biscuit I've ever had, and the mac was to die for!
Fried chicken dishes are amazing. Only the pies too small and expensive
The donuts! I'm not much of a donut fan, but the donuts here are delish. U might need to share though, they're huge!
Yes to everything
Wasn't that impressed w the chicken in the chicken biscuit, it was thin and a bit tough. Will return to try a chicken platter.
Get the chicken biscuit. You won't regret it.
The cinnamon sugar donut.
It's that good.
I know this is heresy but it was just ok. Chicken was cooked perfectly but crust was not special. Waffles are buckwheat and don't pair well with chicken. Why be healthy on the waffles?!
Chicken and waffles - yeah just get the old fashioned donut as well
Great homemade donuts
Delicious! Everything! Huge portions, though. I had a starter, a main and a side for late dinner and I didn't eat a single bite the next day.
Don't bother w the dark meat unless it's really your thing, the white meat is just perfect, nicely salted batter, amazing biscuit too
Fried chicken done right. Come hungry and make sure to out the hot sauce on any morsel of food that you can.
Mac & cheese should most definitely be your side of choice w/ the fried chicken box
Chicken box and a pitcher will make you feeeel
The fried chicken is soooo good!
Try the catfish, it's really good!
Cheese grits are a necessity. Wish the meat portions were larger, but hey.. It's S.Wburg.
Can't go wrong with the Bob Evans.
fried chicken, fried catfish, mac & cheese, biscuits, donuts, pie, mashed potatoes, baked beans, smoked pork collard greens
Do not miss the biscuit. I repeat. Do not miss the biscuit.
The chicken biscuit makes my heart sing.
Amazing vibe. Try the cucumber cooler
This chicken & waffles joint might be more than a little packed... so try it on a day off.
Chiggen & Waffles & Biscuits
Perfect for "cheap eats" Southern -- Fried chicken box ($15), pulled pork ($13), chicken biscuit ($8), mac n cheese with hot sauce ($5) and obviously pie
The Chicken & Waffles are 👌🏼. The roasted peaches on the buckwheat waffle with cinnamon butter is perfection. Get it!
I was craving the sweet bbq pulled pork experience that literally every other restaurant can provide when I willingly waited 45min to be seated, but instead received a dry, flavorless sandwich. 👎🏻👎
Really good chicken & waffles!
so affordably delicious - get the chicken and waffles, chicken and biscuit, onion rings with horse radish, root beer, and just any of the awesome fried goodness
Chicken biscuit is better than the chicken box. Generally, the chicken is on the drier side and less flavorful if that's your thing. Mac n Cheese is delicious and not too heavy.
Quality ingredients at this price *and* cooked to a chicken 'n biscuit perfection? Oh yea and get the mac 'n cheese.
Chicken biscuit FTW. Cute little place, too.
Nothing more obvious than the fried chicken biscuit and the Mac & Cheese then wash that down with their classic Arnold Palmer. Smile, have a slice of pie, go home and cuddle your boo/dog/teddy.
The best chicken joint that I ever had and for the others that are hating do not be mad because your chicken joint is not doing as good as them they can't help that yeah I said it
Fries chicken and the fried cat fish are the best!
People of color beware as this place does not want your business I went here with my girlfriend and daughter we were served by the manager 40 min later we still had no food
Obviously the fried chicken, but don't leave without trying any of the pies.
Loved the cheese grits
Banana cream pie, mimosa
Biscuits, fried chicken and banana cream pie are perfect.
Fried Chicken and Pie.
The Long John at Pies 'n' Thighs: Not just for fried chicken and meringue, this beloved brunch spot also rotates special, sugary treats. (Bonus: A new restaurant just opened in the Manhattan.)
Banana cream pie! Chicken is fine. Pass on the mac n cheese and chicken biscuit.
The biscuits are great! But on my most recent visit the fried chicken was SCARY! A thigh was still bloody in the middle. Not like a little red vein but like still raw under the skin, dripping blood.
One of the best fried chicken I've had NYC.
