Favorite restaurant in DC, hands down. Amazing Happy Hour! Best brunch in DC, includes entree, unlimited dim sum, and unlimited mimosas. Best deal in DC! Very busy at brunch, make a reservation.
The chicken puffs are delicious, crispy eggplants, the chicken potstickers and the shiitake scallops are all musts. I am not sure that was English, but you don't care when you are in food heaven.
HH is M-F, 4-7 pm. $5 cocktails and $3 select dim sum. The drinks are tasty! Try the lychee + rose martini or the ping pong, and then think of me when you ask for another. :) Dim sum is pretty good!

Wow. We did the unlimited Brunch. Priced at $36/person, pricy but well worth the experience. We had our waiter choose for us. Must do as traditional dim sum restaurants are few and far between. Go!
Really wished they had the jasmine pearl tea when I was there...also wish they had egg tarts which is like a staple at most dim sum places! Try the shrimp and chives dumplings - they are amazing!
Dim sum without the carts = genius. Vegetarians should try the vegetable puff and the vegetable spring roll. Make sure to get the sauce platter. Wash it down with the wasabi and amaretto sour!!
Food here is really good-if u go on a busy Fri or Sat nite-don't expect good service. Team of servers mixed up order + took 10 min to bring cream for coffee! Been here for brunch-good service then.
1st dim sum! I had lobster dumplings, basil and clam soup, vegetable sticky rice, spicy basil dumpling, and lychee juice, all delicious. Would totally go again. Get the basil dumplings!
It's still new so they run out of a LOT of stuff if you go there in the evening, BUT, the chicken puff, prawn balls, duck rolls + the Ginger and limoncello caipirinha are to die for.
It's my first time here. The waiter isn't much help with first timers. No suggestions on how to handle the food. And they bring it out one at a time. It's a really cool space but slow on service.
absolutely delicious! Highly recommend: spicy basil dumpling, mandarin & citrus spare ribs (eat these by bucketful), baked ginger cake-the cinnamon ice cream is the best ever!
Disappointed that there were no carts. Food was reasonably priced. Try the pork buns, spinach and mushroom dumpling and the ribs. Service was meh. Decent place, but won't be going back anytime soon.
As being a Chinese, this place is very disappointing. The restaurant itself has atmosphere and huge space. However, it has limited food selection, no rice and noodle dishes, not authentic dim sum...
Worst dim sum I've ever had. Had the dimsum assortment, came severely undercooked then they brought it back to the kitchen and overlooked it... Service is slow and inattentive. Avoid this place.
Top pics: crispy prawn ball, honey roasted chicken puff, char sui bun, vegetable bun, and the edamame & truffle dumpling.
AT&T cell and 3G shut off completely as soon as I walked in the door and resumed the moment I stepped inside. Same thing happens at Busboys. Does their WiFi have something to do with this?
Warning: the food is good (5.5/10) but the service is awful at best. I have never be so appalled by lack of attention. I feel like my waiter and I just broke up, he won't even come by...
Happy hour is a good deal -- $4 for a selection but I would say that it's tasty you're better off going to other happy hours or do Dim Sum at the traditional times.
There's no carts because the food is made to order. I was expecting a hole in the wall joint but it was very classy. Just be prepared to pay around $40 per person.
Really enjoyed the King prawn & scallop sticky rice, vietnamese spring roll, black prawn dumpling, crispy prawn ball all between $5.25 to ~$6.50 each!!
Very slow service, but the food was incredible - especially liked the chicken and spinach dumplings. A good place to relax with friends for a few hours.
The pork puffs are a heavenly blend of pastry and honey BBQ pork, the crispy shrimp dumplings are a sight to behold, and the pork shumai is a must!
would not recommend. Host seated us by restroom despite restaurant being half empty. Black cod and potato fritters were frozen in the middle. Server forgot to bring us two dishes.
Food is great but be careful with your Check. They like to over charge. My bill was $58 and my friend and I split. One check was $48 the other was $29.
This place is cool and the food is great. However, don't come here and order the set menu when it's busy and you're in a rush. Sounds obvious but...
Happy hour dim sum...what could be better? The Chinatown location is small (but great), and there's also a new(ish) location in Dupont.
The chicken puffs are great, the dim sum process is confusing with more than 6 people. Looks like it'd be a great place for after work drinks!
We LOVED everything we ordered except the chicken dumplings. They were underwhelming. Will definitely be back. Heard they have a great hh
Great Dim Dum! Order the pork buns and end with the ginger cake and cinnamon ice cream. Tasty!
Happy hour specials are half off; mostly the veggie dim sums. And the ping pong cocktail has basil seeds & is very refreshing! :-)
Underwhelming. No HK cart service. Calamari batter was raw. Expected Chinese broccoli, got mainstream broccoli which was overlooked. But elegant decor and friendly staff.
This place is good... but for better dim sum oriental east in silver spring serves more traditional style dim sum for cheaper at lunch time
Great service, great decor, but I feel like this is a white person's idea of dim sum... The food is just ok, really not great. But it looks like this is the only dim sum place around here so...
The kumquat mojito is very refreshing! Don't try to eat the actual kumquat though it is very sour (I was curious to see what a kumquat tasted like).
Amazing food! Try: hoisin duck rolls, Vietnamese shrimp spring roll, seafood sticky rice, chocolate buns, and any of the flowering teas!
Words cannot express the utter joy of the bursting soup. It is absolutely amazing. The food is killer and the staff is incredible.
Remember to ask for 1/2 ice on your cocktail. While the ice is delicious and crushed, any normal person prefers more alcohol.
This is not your traditional dim sum. The dumplings are interesting flavor mixes and are delicious and beautifully presented.
Don't get the wasabi virgin mary - it's super pulpy for some reason and tastes like oregano... the Acai Mango Juice, now that's tasty.
I tried the Crabmeat & Prawn, Duck & Five Spice Dumpling and Chicken Puff. Can't go wrong with anything here actually
Thier cinnamon ice cream, chicken puff, $ ginger cake is on the one!!! So good. But their Sunday menu suck! So limited.
The food was very good, prices are a tad high, service wasn't the best. Very disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber.
Try the ping-pong... Lychee juice and liquor! Refreshing and adult. Perfect pairing with spicy pork dumplings...
Two things I love in a restaurant: moderate costs and great food. It's the first contemporary dim sum restaurant I've ever visited, and I really like it.
The chicken puffs aren't authentic dim sum but don't leave the restaurant without ordering them. You won't regret it
Delicious! Def get the chicken and black pepper spring rolls. They are amazing! (Be ware, a little spicy!)
There are no carts. Also we waited so long for our food that we had to leave. I cannot recommend this place in good conscience.
Great ambiance and a perfect location for big groups. Personal favorites are the char sui bun and pork puffs!
