New York's Premiere Peruvian/Latin American Restaurant Group, Specializing in Pollo a La Brasa (Rotisserie Chicken), Authentic cuisine from peru and the infamous "Green Sauce"!
The traditional Peruvian dishes are all very well done. Try the ceviche, anticuchos, Peruvian chicken, and/or the arroz con mariscos
Fancy Peruvian restaurant, great for a date
Cheap prices for some great food! You can easily share the $38 meal between 2 people! Very cozy & romantic, nice for dates. The design is beautiful.
Their rotisserie chicken is the best!! One entree and a couple of sides can feed 3-4 for about $10 each.
Huge portions of meat
If Peruvian decor traditionally makes you feel as though you're in a tinder box then Pio Pio NAILED it.
Good: you should definitely try the mero norteno, lomo saltado, arroz con mariscos & lucuma ice cream! Not so good: the sangria was way too sweet.
Everything on the menu is good but when in doubt, go for the rotisserie chicken - it's the highlight.
Delicious food. I've had a bunch of Peruvian food and this is among the best. The appetizer sampler is a good selection to try as much as possible, if it's your first time.
Check out their lunch special! $9.50 for a quarter chicken (you choose light or dark meat), a salad, your choice of a side and a soda.
Madoto combo is good but in the meantime too much for 3...
Peruvian chicken, cheviche
The Matador platter, spicy shrimp w/quinoa, ceviche
Juiciest $9.50 lunch (M-F 11-4pm) & best rotisserie chicken in NYC: 1/4 (white or dark meat) chicken w/ avocado tomato salad, a soda, & side (rice & beans, tostones, or fries). Ask 4 green sauce!
Get a pisco sour one of the best in NYC!
Get the Matador combo.
Horrible experience! Waited more than and hour and a half to be told that they ran out of chicken since we wanted to try out el matador combo.. Who runs out of chicken if your logo is PIO PIO!
everything is relatively OD
Matador combo is great! But too huge for two people.
Great Pisco Sours
Great food and very strong sangria! Kind of loud though
The chicken is very good and the interiors are impressive! It may appear to be expensive but its very reasonable. The calamares are also very good. Red wine sangria is also great!
Pimiento relleno! We loved everything... Don't forget to order tres leches for dessert
Great for large groups. Food and service was excellent and the sangria is yummy 🍷
This small restaurant is a popular lunch spot for groups. Come here before noon or you'll have a wait for a table.
The lunch special is a good value - Quarter Mama Juanita's Rotisserie Chicken with Fried Yucca and Avocado Salad
Awesome for groups & birthdays; they'll get the whole place going!
The white sangria is great. The food is wonderful. And you should definitely try the flan.
Chicken with green sauce
Lunch special is the way to go for a chill lunch.
Terrible food. Used to be an upscale place. Now it's just loud and cheesy.
Try the chicken. Very moist and tastefull
Two words: lunch special.
One of my favorite places for large groups. The chicken is amazing and you can take bets on how many times you'll hear the birthday song in a given evening.
Juanita's Chicken is to die for. Nice place to sample Peruvian food. service is also good. And the Pisco sour is just so food.
OMG!! One of my fav restaurants - everything is great!
great for groups, don't miss the Matador for 3! Dock your Citi Bike one block south at 43rd St and 10th Ave
Must try : Lomo saltado! And fried yuka!
Great chicken, better ceviche
Honestly the best chicken I've ever had. Super juicy and yummy! And the green sauce is now my obsession. Can't wait to go back!
Amazing fresh delicious food. Big potions good for sharing. Really nice service
Great restaurant! Juanita's chicken was delicious. I recommend getting the Matador Combo (3-4 can eat it). Cool decoration.
Very Good Peruvian food with a friendly Staff.
Big portions, good for groups. But the service was too chaotic and took forever to do anything. Love their chicken though.
Food and decor are great but the service was HORRIBLE. Enough to turn us off from this potential hidden gem.
Food is good and it's affordable when you realize the portion size. It's served family style so prepare to fill your plate with lots of food.
Definitely reserve before arriving. Food is plentiful, so you may want to forgo lunch or an appetizer when eating here. Great sangria.
