We at Pizzaiolo believe that the simple act of feeding people is at the core of what it is to be human.
Pizza's are delicious but this not Burger King -- you have accept the pies as they are, you can't have them your way.
Get the gin and tonic and pizza with nettles or chanterelles. Everything is so damn good. Get in when they first open, no need to be picky about when you eat, just get in when you can.
Understaffed and slow in the mornings
Waited in line for 10 minutes for coffee. It's good but not that good
Rigatoni is great and wood burning grilled bread is fantastic. Can't go wrong!
Potato, pancetta with more stuff on it is absolutely amazing.
Pizza is amazing. Bread with sesame in the crust and butter is also amazing.
I know you're about to get doughy pizza, but get the bread...it's worth it!
Put an egg on it.
Eat late and you might luck out and be offered a loaf of bread!
I didn't like the pizza that much (too much like naan)
Roasted Potato pizza with the wood fired pizza is a combination worth stopping in!!!
Watched a Muhammed Ali documentary in the back outdoor area one night.
Morning coffee service is awesome... great coffee, homemade treats and a smile. Definitely not the spot if you're in a rush, though.
Add arugula and a farm egg to your pizza. And save room for the panna cotta!
Menu changes daily. Nothing disappoints; homemade bread is great (better than Tartine's). Can't go wrong with pizza, and drinks are well-balanced.
Pizza is fab. So are the drinks and desserts! Love sitting on the back patio.
Just about everything
Lively interior, awesome patio out the back. Very good Italian style crust, very good olive oil available as well. In the trendy Temescal
They had us at Black Eyed Peas from the wood burning oven. Why didn’t our mama’s turnips taste that good growing up?
Another Chez Panisse alum, this time creating Cal-politan pizzas with tender blistered crusts.
Technically not in SF, this is one of our top 3 pizzas in the bay. Opened by ex-Chez Panisse alums. Service is almost alarmingly attentive. Boot & Shoe is the sister restaurant but isn't as good.
Four barrel and buttery pastries in the morning. Super strong cold brew. Great place to start your day.
Arrive exactly when it opens to get a seat in the patio, or else sit at the bar where full menu is served. Can't go wrong with any of the pizzas or the salmon.
Get the pasta Arrabiata it is delicious!
The Jerusalem salad is amazing!
get the pizza. duh
Fourbarrel coffee in the mornings!
Please, you must have bourbon and their house made tonic. Do it. I am telling you!
I'm a glute-tard who willingly subjects herself to inevitable pain and suffering for their pizza + pasta. It's that good. Pro tip: if you love pork, you'll want anything with guanciale in it.
The gazpacho right now is off the hook
Pizza! and buttermilk panna cotta.
People are sore nice here. Some of the best service I've had in a long time. Good it's great too.
Wow, this place is nuts. Sand Nabs, Salmon, Beets, Sausage., Movies on the big screen. Ask for the hot sauce
Homemade tonic makes the Gin & Tonic one of the best I've had. Don't miss it.
There is a chicken coop out back.
Try the Buttermilk Donut - With cafe americano
Everything is delicious here. Thanks to a friend's recommendation, I now get their tonic (no alcohol) with each meal for $4. Every time it's just a little bit different.
Try the Donuts
Pizza is good but not amazing. Back room smells like wet dish rags.
Perfect in the AM with house-made donuts
Great pizzas and pasta. Same owner as Boot and Shoe and less of a Mission District type crowd.
Sit at the bar and get to know the amazing, dynamic and very friendly bartenders. They are rock stars!
