REALLY great food – listed as Italian but really seasonal, local, fresh and extremely well-executed. They have an adorable little pizza place right next door. -Monica Pope, Top Chef

Craig Stoll cooks Italian food here through the lens of the Bay Area: hyperseasonal, locally sourced, and as primally satisfying as the home cooking of a Tuscan nonna. The panna cotta is legendary.
get the meatballs
The Panna pizza is off the hook. It's like penne a la vodka but in a pizza form (and without penne of course).
If you're a vegetarian, get the panna. Meat eaters, the prosciutto pie is the best. Also, remember that they don't seat incomplete parties!
Try the Food.
Try the 4 Formaggi Pizza and spot it on Foodspotting!

Prosciutto Pie + pint of Peroni is a good combo.
Go off the usual list of pizzas and ask staff what they like - you won't be disappointed
Long waits, fabulous thin crust pizzas. Get the meatballs in sugo as an appetizer. Mmmm...
Get the Brocoli Raab! It's better than the Magherita which is on 7x7's Big Eat list!
Go on a night Arancini are on the specials. Even crazier than the pizza.
Hurry before it is gone - order the Crazy Melon special - amazing!
Saffron Arancini = fried cheese balls. Run, don't walk, to grab a plate.
Wow, everything is spectacular.
The Panna pizza lives up to the hype. Bold tomatoes enlivened with a splash of cream and melting ribbons of Parmigiano-Reggiano!
Come during lunchtime during the week when there's no wait!
Try the fried pig ears w/ lime & chili oil, it sounds weird but they're delicious.
Don't worry about picking the wrong thing here- everything's amazing. But it definitely ain't undiscovered, so come at an off time if you can - this place is slammed even at off hours.
The buratta is a mind blower. Do it.
I'd leave a tip about the food if someone actually came and took my order.
The 4 cheese pizza with sausage is great, though a bit pricey at $21.50.
Real italian pizza - fresh and taste really good
FIRST MADE FAMOUS WHEN IT WAS FEATURED ON AFFOBLOGO.COM
Always order the meatballs and the special veggie
If there’s a long wait and it’s not terribly cold out, order your meal to go and in 15m, be eating on the spacious parklet — long before those ahead of you are seated.
I prefer the original mission street location - no spandex, fluffy dogs or pretense. oh - the pizza is amazing
Just had the little gem salad with the Green Goddess dressing - you must, must, must order it! Best dressing ever.
Anything with crazy or magic in the name of the dish must be eaten
Generally much shorter wait during week days! Free bread sticks is a nice touch!
The Pizza is the real deal and the meatballs are amaze balls!!
Thumbs up for the clam pie. And their red chili flakes are delicious but SPICY AS ALL GET-UP. You've been warned.
Great food and awesome staff. I recommend the "4 formaggi" pizza with a glass of "Montepulciano d'Abruzzo" and homemade Gelato for dessert.
Pretty much everything is good here. The fungus pizza is amazing but only offered as a special.
They take phone orders. There is always a wait but outdoor seating is available.
