People tend to check in during these times:
BART...and you're there! Whether you're heading to work, meeting friends, catching a flight or catching a game, BART gets you around the San Francisco Bay Area.
get on towards the end of the platform for more seats
Park by 7:30/8:00 or "fuhgettaboutit"
Thanks to Bryn there are no benefits to the end of the platforms anymore....ruined it for us saavy folks
The new Robert I. Schroder bike/ped bridge on the Iron Horse Trail is just a block from the station and looks really cool lit up at night.
Get the Clipper card, it makes things easier. Then hook it up to EZ rider parking so you can pay for parking with your card and you won't have to remember your parking #.
If you don't park by 7:30 or 8, wait till after 10 am because spots on the 1st and 2nd levels are open to all after 10. Enjoy sleeping in :)
heads up! no ac on the Bart today!!
Make sure to check out the Robert I. Schroder bike/ped steel bridge overcrossing over Treat Blvd.
If your allergic to bees, avoid the front of the train. The large oak at that end of the platform has an active hive.
This BART stop is literally a one minute walk to Third Workplace, a cool ground level workplace with WiFi, coffee, open space to work, and private rooms. Just head toward Treat Blvd.
Big beehive in the oak tree at the end of Platform 2, towards SF.
Leaving later to miss rush hour? Good idea. Arriving at BART after 99% of parking spots are taken? Bad idea.
Parking on the first and second floors is for monthly pass holders only. You will get a nice little $50 reminder of that. Park up on the 3rd
Watch out for drivers -- they speed going up and down the parking lot, they don't stop, and inconsiderate twds pedestrians!!
Tired of forgetting your parking slot number? Take a picture of it or write it in a note on your phone, save paper.
Beautiful station this station is a nation wide example of how mixed use transit space can work so well. Bikes, bart, shops, buses and apartments it's all here.
Third Workplace is only 3 minute walk! Got an hour of work done, (including printing and faxing) plus hot tea - less than $4!
Construction still going on
There is an outlet on the platform if you need to charge your cell phone or laptop
There's a coffee/snack shop open M-F with pretty decent coffee, donuts, pizza and other refrigerated snacks.
Headed to Danville, San Ramon or Alamo? The Wheels 70 route connects to this station. Going north to Benicia, Fairfield or Vacaville? Solano Express route 40 will get you there from here.
lots of bike parking
The 6am Montgomery train is always empty
Pleasant Hill Bart is actually in the City of Walnut Creek...
If you're going to the city in the am, be sure to time it right or you'll be standing for quite some time. Montgomery tends to be the best option.
Get a Clipper Card if you plan on using public transportation in the area.
Bart leaves before stated time. Get there early!
Keep 1 rolled
Even if the garage says full, try the roof. There may be some spots left.
Park by 8:00 at the absolute latest - the parking fills up fast!
Damned cold bring a jacket and some gloves.
Ever since it became the contra costa centre it's been getting all kinds of face lifts. A clock, earth quake safety construction, bike parking lot, shops. The Avalon &CCC pump money into the station
First few trains always late...
