Honest and uncomplicated food that embraces robust flavours and showcases the best of Australian produce. A selection of dishes from the wood fire grill, open coal pit and shared plates from the kitchen.
Awkward shared plates portions
Reach Circular Quay and walk upto Museum of Contemporary Art, turn left up the road. Great lunch or dinner
Get the Blackmore burger. Legit!
Calamari burger was pretty impressive!
Service always slow. Food nice however. Try the crumbed pork cutlet :)
Try the brisket
Tucked away in The Rocks, this is a modern restaurant to dine in for their small plates to share. Great vibe
If you don't have a reservation you can sit on the patio in the bar area. The put a board on a little table. A bit awkward, but the food is worth it.
Out side deck rocks communal table is and was fun ,
Mediocre food at best. Nothing to rave about.
The seared Wagu is amazing
Exceptional service, divine food. Get a table inside by the window. Save room for the Creme brûlée or chocolate mousse cake.
"can we order some wine?" "Oh, I'll come back for the wine." 25 min later, stop other waitress; order cab sav and Tempranillo; 5 min later "was that a Chardonnay?";10 min later bring Sav Blanc. WUT?

So disappointed- we asked for a medium steak it was overcooked, and the manager tried to argue with us about our order. I won't be going back!
Possibly the best scotch fillet I've ever eaten, the beans were perfectly cooked. Everything was delicious and the service impeccable. Highly recommended.
Desserts are the go and must choose the fresh Mango Roulade and the Dark Chocolate Tart!
On weekdays in October, get a set main course, a matched glass of Brown Brothers wine, Coopers beer or San Pellegrino sparkling or Acqua Panna still mineral water, plus coffee, for just $38.
Lovely and friendly service topped an exquisite meal of delicate flavours. Can't wait for my next visit to Pony! The seared sirloin share plate was divine!
Be very precise when you order, we had meal arrive late and only one of our deserts arrive
Avoid the outdoor dining if you can
Make sure you book or be prepared to wait. Ever a favourite Pony's menu changes with a regularity that keeps even the locals interested. Good wine list-go buy the bottle and the beef cheek is gold
Try the creme brûlée for dessert !!
The food is always amazing, wood fire oven locks in all the juices of the fish and meats. Staff friendly and helpful. Great vibe, schmick & classy but not arrogant and still relaxed. Impressive.
