The Port Authority Bus Terminal (PABT) is the main gateway for interstate buses into Manhattan in New York City. The terminal is the largest in the United States and the busiest in the world by volume of traffic, serving about 7,000 buses and 200,000 people on an average weekday.
If there is a hell, it'll be here, full of buses
Third world in here
Few things to note here: It's a zoo at rush hour so purchase your ticket upon arrival of at all possible. ... There are no ticket kiosks at some gates, so buy yours at the first one you see.
Typography geek? Look to the 42nd St. entrance for the letters which inspired Jonathan Hoefler’s Gotham.
from Providence RI to NY was my root for 6 yrs
Good service. Ticket Windows not easy to find, for signs lack.
I used to work 2 block from Port Authority and I miss the crowd. You can get lost because everyone moves so fast. This place is packed with nice establishments. Either for conveniences or fun
Get your tickets way before boarding a bus. You need to have lots of patience here. Lines tend to be really long...
I just saw a pigeon, indoors, attack a small screaming child. That's the Port Authority in a nutshell.
It has become #Homeless Central since #DeBlasio became #Mayor of #NYC #Gotham
Take a bus to Woodbury common premium outlets !!
You can take the subway here too.
The main bus terminal of NYC. Now has WiFi and electronic signage to help you find the right bus to take without the need to ask the ticketing booths.
In a rush to catch an afternoon bus? Citi Bike valet service is available Mon-Fri from 3-7pm at 8th Ave and W 42st St for stress-free docking.
Don't eat here over priced
god has forsaken this place. good luck travellers
Check the schedules some buses have no 24 hour service
Memorize the path to your gate to avoid confused tourist hell.
Drink beer in public
Probably not my número uno NYC hotspot. It is, however, a crime against humanity that the Cinnabon conveniently placed by my gate didn't last. #RIP
It's like day routine
Employees are clueless zombie fucks
Very dirty place.
New bathrooms are ridic. Make Grand Central's look like Penn Station's.
There is actually a passage to walk through 8th ave all the way to 9 ave which is specially a blessing in winters! Long lines for getting mta cards at start of a month.
I take the Shortline Bus to the city all the time
This is basically hell on earth.
If you were ever unsure about vaccinations, a quick stroll through this place will change your mind. Forget the Amazon, there are undiscovered diseases in these bathrooms.
It's always a zoo.
This is a terrible place. If u gotta take transit don't stay for long. Take bus before 10pm.
It's always open and it's a huge transportation hub. Doesn't get better.
Nice piece of graffiti art on the wall ;)
Definition of chaos!
Buses to Everywhere, You Can Think of ;)
Too many homeless people had getting my ticket for bus on 42nd street exit. THEN you go upstairs & they have there body's all over chairs.
Good most days.
Welcome to the armpit of America
It's a jungle during rush hour. Ask dispatcher which is your line
Don't feed the trolls
This is a great aviary. They have the most beautiful species of pigeons flying around.
This is most likely the outermost circle of hell.
Not the best place to stop if you are a tourist. And stay away of #RushHours
I would not stop by here unless I know where I need to go. Lots of suspicious characters
Stay away from the #Restrooms, they have become #HomelessCentral
This place is huge and easy to get lost
I find this layout as dreary as Penn Station.
Feeling uncertain destination ahead of me whenever getting here.
