Write to your local MP to request a tour of parliament. Well worth it, see if you can get into one of the many pubs.

Spent my life in this building. Don't get caught out by the extremely long queues that sometimes occur.

If you are here for an event on the first floor, make sure you have some time to have a look at the portraits, including the famous Margaret Thatcher one and the exhibition about women in politics.

It is where non government officials and MPs have their offices. Security very tight, as you would imagine. Meet MPs here on several occassions.

Exceptionally modern and not what you expect this is a real treat with great portrait paintings of MP's old and new.

Try to avoid eating here at all costs. The soup's generally OK but everything is rather more suspect...

Resist the temptation to go to the top floors or to try and seek out the living quarters because they're out of bounds. 'The Dispatch' Box is a quick little cafe' on the ground floor for a breather.

This is the most expensive office block ever built in Britain, coming in at £235 million. It opened in 2001, and provides office space for Members of Parliament and their staff.
