Get there early! The good stuff sells out before 10am. I've seen chefs from the local restaurants buying around 9am.
If you see people carrying huge plates of veggies, molé, eggs, and fresh tortillas, it's from Verde Cocina. New food vendor in the centernof the market. So good!
If you want delicious GMO veggies you have to ask. They keep them hidden.

Sungold farms has excellent plant starts. They have fared much better in my garden than plants from any other nursery or stand at the farmer's market.

Don't be distracted by the fruit and veggies - head straight to the back and find Pine State Biscuits. Grab yourself a Reggie biscuit sandwich :: chicken, bacon & cheese topped with gravy
Make sure to visit the Food Works booth and support local Portland youth and their organic farm!
Must stop at pesto outside of the box booth, as well as zuppa for mint lemonade and channa masala. Support local farmers by buying from multiple fruit and veggie stands!
Don't buy all your veggies, fruit, or other produce at one stand. Shop around. Support different farms.
Go early and grab breakfast at the Pine State Biscuit stand. A great way to start the day.

Spring Hill has some of the best veggies at the market. Their lettuces are amazing, great tomatoes, and when kale is in season, they are very generous in their bundles.
