The Chesapeake Eggs Benedict with crabcakes was great for brunch! The duckfat doughnuts, on the otherhand, were not all they were 'quacked-up' to be. Very crisp surface, dense and a heavy aftertaste.
the chorizo and mushroom tartines were so good we had to have encores :) they paired very well with the Francois Villard (Rhone, FR) 2012 Syrah and the Punto Final (Mendoza, AR) 2012 Malbec
Delicious for brunch. We had the Eggs Hussarde (poached eggs on potato skins) and of course, house made doughnuts (filled). My husband and I shared it all and we loved it. Can't wait to go again.
One of my top 10 spots in the District. Skip the sparse charcuterie/cheese boards if your starting appetite is large. Best fall/winter dinner menus & perfect patio for summer cocktails!
post modern bar/lounge by night. This unique interior and great atmosphere is a must experience. It's off-the-main-road location makes for a nice getaway spot with manageable crowds
Go to Poste, assuming it's a weekday between 4-7. If the weather's nice, sit in the courtyard. Order the $5 truffled frites. Have something to drink. Order the truffled frites again.
LOVE the patio! Tucked away in the middle of Penn Quarter/Chinatown, this place is nothing like its surroundings. It's an oasis. Great place to bring visitors/out-of-towners.
Not easy to access if you have a disability. The only ramp is 1 1/2 blocks from the valet parking and it was covered with snow and ice 5 days after the snow storm. Then, the door was locked.
Order the truffle fries and popcorn - so good! Also, note that there is essentially no restroom - you have to go through into the hotel and up to the next floor.
They like candles, so much so that they out one directly behind my wife's chair and it caught her hair on fire! All we got was a forced, insincere apology from the manager who then walked away.
Dessert menu is absolutely amazing! Pastry Chef Casto Unson is talented and extremely good at complimenting flavors and textures. Definitely get dessert!
An easygoing mix of fun and sophistication, of trendiness and simplicity. There might be better places to impress a client, but few will make you more comfortable.
This is a great watering hole - lots of sun, great service and exceptional cocktails. Reminds me of the legendary, but now defunct, Post Bar in East Lansing.
The patio is great for smallish groups, dates or after work crews. Be sure to ask about their infused vodkas and in-house infused vodkas.
I went here for a late night scotch in the garden on 07/18. Corinne and I ran into lots of friends, which was awesome. Some who were not our friends were not awesome.
Service out on the patio has gotten so much better with the new outdoor bar! Grab a glass of vino, some sliders & truffle fries.
my favorite bar in DC! diverse beer and wine list, good happy hour specials, great atmosphere, and a hot spot for politicos.
Rico is one of the best mixologists in DC. Seasonal cocktails are amazing. Linus for Halloween and Them Apples in January.
If you book a week plus in advance, you can get a Poste Roast. They will roast a whole animal (your choice). Just saw a whole pig go by.
Turnip Soup, Beef Bourginon and Chocolate Pot De Creme.... Amazing for Restaraunt Week
Highly overpriced for what you get. Breakfast $66.83 w/o tip. Eggs were good but son's waffle dry and not worth $17!! Waiter was good though.
The brasserie-style fare and not to be missed truffled frites accompany a stellar cocktail program.
Drank their special Gin Rickey, which could have been awesome, except they served it in a pint glass. Some advice: more gin, in a tumbler.
If you are here for brunch (or anytime) try the hot chocolate shooter and homemade donuts. Lovely.
Seems like a great restaurant with great ambiance. But whhhhhy does no restaurant have any espresso drinks.
Definitely do not leave without getting Truffle Fries or the Egg Hussard (during brunch) simply amazing!
Whoever said $4 happy hour truffle fries at happy hour is a liar. But they are good, despite being $$
Their happy hour is really great! I love their outdoor space. Try the truffle fries!
The service here... Definitely gone downhill. Too bad. Drinks are still decent though. I far prefer PS7 now, though.
The truffle fries are a masterpiece. You won't be disappointed, unless you're a terrorist.
Truffle fries, duck donuts, bloody bar, basil lemontini. I wish I could live there.
Try the Seafood Cobb - Yummy brunch and great bloody mary bar @postedc @chefdennis@kimptondc
Possibly the best restaurant patio in the city. A very popular happy hour spot in warm weather.
Really great way to enjoy an evening-wonderful food, just be careful on the high stools!!
Love the bartender Sev but the lunch special is weak in terms of options!
Waited 20 minutes for a drink when the place was empty. Service has gone way downhill here.
Great place for outdoor drinks on patio when the weather is right.
We love the Sawtooth Idaho Syrah. Try it one of chef's meat dishes.
Brunch here is a MUST. Eggs hussaird, quiche or jelly doughnuts!
Great charcuterie board. Expansive list of infused liquors.
Great cocktails, cool indoor and outdoor venue.
the onion soup burger is one of the best things in DC
