One of the most beautiful, romantic and lovely places in Lisbon
Open space with beautiful architecture
good place to go and realx with the water, but its TO MANY annoying drug sellers that comes up to you to sell drugs, the police really have to do somethinga bout that problem
Reminds me of Bordeaux, very nice and worth a visit.
Beautiful views and architecture.
In front of the big river
Looking for somewhere to eat in this area. You won't go wrong at nosolo Italia. Chocolate sauce to die for
Brilliant view from the top
At night it is amazing. We had the chance to see #Ulyseia21
The tourist trap caffees are reasonably priced. At night you'll be offered all kinds of drugs next to the fountain.
Beautiful! I hardly recommend a walk by the Ribeira dad Naus after (or before)
New year celebrations were great
On 1 February 1908, the square was the scene of the assassination of Carlos I, the penultimate King of Portugal. So beautiful, but with a turbulent history!
Must see in Lisbon
take a ride with the "28". wonderful experience.
Great view, nice to hang around and listen to musicians
It's a very big square and could be used for playing sports but it isn't. So it's just a square. Still beautiful though. It's probably in your tourist guide. You dirty tourist.
One of my favorite venues in Lisbona.
You've to go here and see it yourself.
Nice place....but be aware of the aftermath of new year celebrations, which is a nightmare to return as there is literally no taxi around. Either leave early or stay more until the crowd disperse
In southeastern current of this square, there is a very nice museum about the history of the city. Very interesting, good sound system and a better understanding of the town through its past.
Lovely place for a walk and to enjoy a good meal with a view. Plenty of different restaurants and close to shops downtown.
Place to be in Lissabon with a lot of weed dealer
Biggest open space in downtown Lisbon !! The square is surrounded with shops and bars ,definitely worth a visit. It has a cool Beer Museum and a tourist information facility.
Spaciousness, an open riverview, the castle rising up above the grand buildings, it makes this square unique! Always a cool breeze at the quayside. Beware of pooping seagulls, please DON'T feed them!
Great place to walk around and lots of restaurants around! Fun fact: it's one of the biggest squares in Europe (280x280m).
The great "gate to the city"! Imagine descending from a boat on the Tagus and stepping up that place towards the big arc to enter the city.
This place is a must-see for any visitor of Lisbon indeed. Wide plaza surrounded by historic buildings and nice harbor. Great for idle walkings around city center. Reminds me Venice though.
Be aware of pickpockets and drug sellers
A must-see for all Lisbon visitors. Take the tramway here to go to Belém. Take the lively Rua Augusta by passing through the Arc of Triumph. You can go up the arc for a wonderful view.
Be aware that there are locals with certain substances that will approach you for such substances. None were aggressive at all, but it happens quite openly.
Nice views and buildings. Walk towards the water, then to the right for a tiny beach. Get your feet wet. It's nice.
No compren droga aquí, es falsa pero muy convincente. / No not buy any drugs here, they are fake but very convincent.
Really nice place, the heart of the old Lisboa.
A classic tourist trap. To avoid.
Refreshing energies 🙏😌
If posible park the car, roads nearby are very bad! And of course, traditional portuguese pavement it not good for cars.
Awesome place! Especially in the morning when fog comes from the river
Beer museum, wine tasting, nice restaurants. The main square in Lisbin you can get the yellow trams from here, boats on the river and so on...
Take the elevator in the main arc wonderful view to all Lisbon downtown! Until 18th August a multimedia show is showed at 21.30 22.30 and 23.30.
One of the biggest squares in Europe. Enjoy it!
It is a nice place, quite big I would say. I lik it very much but I feel it quite empty - probably is it mant to gather many people. I wouldn't go there on the afternoon of a hot summer day. ENJOY!!!
Arco finalmente lavadinho
One of the most beautiful city squares in the world. The biggest in old Europe. Besides great views day & night - lovely bars, restaurants, shops, nightlife
One if the most beautiful squares in Europe!
Electrico nr 28 is fantastico!
Nice place to drink a Portuguese beer :-)
At the Centre stands a statue of King José I. Beneath him Fame leads an Elephant and Triumph leads a Horse, which trample on conquered Africa and Asia. In the front Medallion is the Marquis de Pombal.
