Prazsky Orloj is the highlight of The Old Town Square. You'll surely stop to view the entire world's oldest medieval astronomical clock and the brilliant show of moving parts and figures it displays

Quite fascinating. Do read about the clock before you visit to appreciate the history and technology related to the clock. The oldest working astronomical clock. A sea of tourists always clicking it.

Climbing to the top of the tower gives you unparalleled views of the city. There's also a lift for those with walking difficulties. Every hour there's a clockwork performance that you need to see.

There is sad fact about its creator: the king asked him, could he make another clock like this and when he answered that it's possible, king ordered to kill him, because it was supposed to be unique.

Type in "Klaster sv. Anezky Ceske" and go. In 15 minutes, you'll be enjoying National Gallery's early Medieval art collections in serene gothic surroundings without any crowds. Eat at Lokal nearby.

Very pretty and interesting. It's great having a local guide to explain every aspect of the clock to you. Very crowded, though.

Every hour on the hour it's nice to watch the clock do something different, but be prepared that if you go in the peak hours of the day it's a tourist fest!

One of the oldest working astronomical clocks, from the 1400s, in the center of Prague. Was unfortunately under reconstruction when I went so I couldn't go up.

More amazing to see in person. Note that the movement of the clock is short and happens at the top of the hour. Blink and you will miss the "action".

Crowds get busy every hour to watch the clock chime. I'd suggest seeing it early in the morning or evening and standing 10 or 5 minutes before the hour.

They say the clockmaker killed himself jumping in the gearing of the clock to get revenge from the fact that they blinded him so that he wouldn't build other clocks as beautiful as this.
