As opposed to the other Hot chicken places I have tried around town, the chicken was seasoned once you get past the skin. Some people would say it was almost too salty. Save the bread for last....

Choose from among mild, medium, hot, and extra hot — my nose tingles and my scalp prickles, but the taste is so narcotic that I clean my plate every time. Read more

Had the XHot and honestly it didn't hit me like I though it should. Maybe my expectations were too high or I have eaten too many hot foods

Not the best fried chicken I have had but if you love spicy it will top anyone's list. Try the wings which are extra hot down to the bone. Be prepared to wait some because the food is cooked to order

The hot chicken is soooo good. Sucks there's only one location. The wait us always ridiculous, but it's responded with well worth it spicy chicken.

Good chicken, but horrible service and a disorganized operation. How can they give food to someone who came in an hour after you and you STILL be waiting for your simple order?

For those of us who do not want Hot Chicken....Their "naked chicken" is awesome.

The chicken is awesome but the service is very slow. The sides are a la carte only. The restaurant is not updated, but hey.., whatever works. Not a great deal but the locals seem to really enjoy it.

Mild has more than enough kick for me and I love spicy food! More than worth the effort and the drive to this Nashville gem.

We love spicy but I would start with mild here. Ok to bring in drinks so bring milk. Also pieces are very big. We ended up with too much food. The $5 wings are a great deal. Would pass on coleslaw.

I love spicy food. Love it! After reading all the reviews that said don't get the hot, get the medium, I decided to ignore them. I got the hot. It is one of the spiciest foods I have ever eaten.

A Nashville institution. I strongly recommend the mild and a side of dip/fries/bread unless you're really going for excruciating heat.

Medium heat is hot. Hot and XHot not recommended for mortals. BYO dairy-based cooling agent as the drink selection is poor and unreliable. A memorable experience...for at least 2 days afterwards.

Best fried chicken ever! The mild is pretty hot. Be prepared to wait at least 30 mins for your food after you order. And get the cake. It's so good and moist

The fried chicken here comes in 4 levels of hotness (mild, medium, hot, extra hot) and is some of the best you’ll find in the South. Be prepared to wait half an hour for your order. Read more

Come when you have plenty of time on your hands. You will wait at least 30 minutes. They apparently fry one order at a time.

Puts a fire in your belly and you'll love every second of it! The hot is HOT, the extra hot is like the devil himself made it but still wouldn't touch it. Think before you eat, don't be a champ!
