Extensive wine selection, duck is cooked to perfection.
Great food, cocktails, wine--but watch out: $10 for sparkling water instead of still. That's ridiculous for a place this expensive! Otherwise fantastic!
Wonderful ambiance, wine, and food. Get the gnocchi or the whipped goat cheese!
They really make an effort to make wine an important part of the dining experience. There seem to be quite a few experts on staff.
Go to the bar round 10p to grab a glass of wine and have a chill conversation with your date or pal. Ask 4 a sip before you order as 6oz glasses run anywhere from $12 to $20+.
I love this place. Just had the Quinoa and wheat berry salad and butternut squash soup. Both awesome. Lamb burger and chickpea fries is still king though.
Great room lined with wine racks. Charming service. Food is fabulous with a wide range of small plates cheeses and charcuterie. We loved the quinoa salad, tuna carpaccio octopus and desserts! Go there
From Washingtonian: Get the shrimp burger
Big fan of this establishment. Like how they let you sample wines from the 'by the glass' list and don't push the upsell when recommending bottles. Tasty entrees, and busy but chill scene.
Great Quinoa salad and chilled tomato soup. Lamb burger w chickpea fries is pretty fantastic.
One of my husband's and my favorite restaurants in DC. Fabulous food never disappoints. Sommeliers are great. Tell them your price point and what you like and you'll get something amazing.
Washingtonian recommends the shrimp burger.
The foie gras is amazing! Perfectly crisp on the outside when you first bite into it. It then just melts in your mouth afterwards.
Any seafood prepared will be extraordinary!
In their June 2014 issue, Washingtonian Magazine said the Shrimp Burger was one of metropolitan DC's 25 best burgers.
Music here is great, a great atmosphere
Worst customer service experience I've ever had. Hostess was rude and barely made eye contact. Rushed is to table and didn't hand us menus. Sommelier and GM refused to serve me even with proper ID.
Incredible wine list. Lamb chops are delicious. Get the cauliflower as a side.
In the heart of Chinatown, Proof lives by the motto, “Food is the focus. Wine is the passion.”
Absolutely incredible! Food, wine and atmosphere.
You can never go wrong with the cheese board here. Or the tuna tartare. In fact, it is wrong not to order both. And the sticky toffee pudding cake.
ahi tuna tartare appetizer is amazing!
Foie gras is stellar. Duck breast comes with pasta and is spicy. Don't miss it if you like heat. Gnocchi and butter lettuce salad is great to share. Had all "family style" for 2 with Pinot noir
Absolutely amazing. Great restaurant..service was enjoyable.
Great wine bar!
The polenta is smooth and magical!
Highly recommend the mozzarella salad to start and the scallops as an entree!!
Lamb loin had a very subtle flavor, was cooked perfectly, and was amazingly tender.
Food is decent salmon was cooked perfectly
Always ask for a wine recommendation! They have an amazing selection and you will be pleasantly surprised!
Incredible service, outstanding food. Be sure to try the broccolini and cauliflower sides!
Pan roasted foie gras - YES PLEASE
You gotta eat now to valet park on the cheap!!
great place for wine lovers; highly knowledgable staff; nice happy hour small plates to share
Great atmosphere and service. Cheeses are delish.
The wine list is intimidating but the Chet's board and rest of the menu is amazing!
venue is pretty dark for dinner service. the charcuterie is legit. service was decent and friendly.
Manhattan at happy hour ... Sweet
“Find your own ‘proof’” of this Penn Quarter New American’s virtues via its “wonderfully original” food paired with “amazing” wines in “noisy”, “sexy” and “dark”
Fine. Crowded. Attenntive
Happy hour 5:30-7, $5 wine, $8 classic cocktails.
The gnocchi is the lightest and tastiest I have had. It changes with each season. The half order is perfect.
