Autumn in the park—there's nothing better.
If you want to ride hard, aim to finish your ride by 7am. The recreational cyclists and runners start swarming in around then. Watch out for horses!
Came here for earth day! Wonderful park. Very clean, spacious, not too crowded.
This is an amazing park. My favorite in Brooklyn. It's great for locals or tourists looking for a rest. It's what my tax dollars pay for and I big reason I live in the neighborhood.
Lots of open space
4mi loop is great for jogging or cycling. Fewer stoplights than Central Park.
Come early to avoid crowds - great training route.
distance on the drive is 3.35 miles. distance on border sidewalk is 3.75 miles
uh oh. 12 miles. #brc #brkthru @AsnraeK shafferdc
Good for a picnic
If you're running counter-clockwise, there's a serious hill for the last .5 mile. You'll pass me on it.
I don't get the counterclockwise hate. It's got two lanes people. There's even pictures!! (See picture)
Try walking/running the opposite way the traffic flows for a different experience and view of the park.
I like to watch how the dominant ethnicities change as I bike the loop. North & West vs. South & East.
the water fountain under the shade of the trees next to the grand army plaza entrance has the coldest water.
Inside of the path for clockwise running, outside for counterclockwise
Look for more space for runners, coming soon
Don't be the loser running in the center or in the wrong direction. Toughen up and run up the big hill.
Public toilet. $.25
Great scenery, good escape from the hustle and bustle. :)
Look out for falling acorns!
Best times to run are weekdays in the early morn if you can. Gets very crowded in the evenings and on weekends.
There is horse poop. So watch out.. I love the monuments that are there.
The big hill before Grand Army Plaza never gets any easier. Its better to run up it fast to get it over with!
If I start will u finish 4 me?
Ojan best was here!!!
Don't be a wuss, do the stairs before the lake
On Sunday, March 18, the Park Slope St. Patrick's Day Parade steps off at 1 p.m., starting at Prospect Park West and 14th Street.
Having this track nearby makes me want to get on my bike and ride, around and around!
Defeat the hill!
don't be that guy who runs the wrong way around the loop!
Super cool statues & fountain.
Better location than NYC. Sam Chanin
Me & my bike love the loop
I love jogging there mostly every night :-) gotta stay active and get into shape
This loop is a great for runners or cyclists, with varying terrain, horse poop obstacles, and it’s lit for an evening run, ride or stroll.
If you run clockwise, people will give you dirty looks. (To that I say, whatev. Gotta even it out.)
three loops = 10 miles
watch out for the horse poop. It's a moving target! and who's that guy kicking the huge ball up the hill?
Run the transverses in the middle of the park. The loop plus two transverses are 4.85 miles!
