I just don't understand why New Yorkers would want to spend an hour of their weekend queueing on the sidewalk? No from me to these wanky no-reservation spots.
The ricotta - delicious!!
Genuinely one of the best pancakes ever. I've been to Prune for dinner + brunch, both of which are phenomenal. I'd recommend to anyone. The environment, the food, and the people are perfect. ✨
Well worth the wait. Definitely get the steak and eggs.
On point Bloody Mary's, but was so disappointed by the carbonara. Way too much cheese. 😔
Be prepared for a wait! Well worth it though. Food was amazing.
Great for brunch and Bloody Mary's
Steak eggs and rosti. Best bloody Mary's in town!
Good but not spectacular enough to have to deal with the long wait. And overpriced Bloody Marys.
very creative and tasty American food. super small, makes reservations hard to get. worth the wait.
Oysters are terrific and really well seasoned. Potato rossi is a must have with sour cream. Eggs are light and fluffy. Coffee is steep at $3 with no refills, but well worth it.
Huevos rancheros and the southwest Bloody Mary are a great combination
The short ribs were out of this world - must order! The clams appetisers were also delicious. Can't go wrong here!
Great for brunch but a hit at dinner, too. Spaghetti carbonara; black rice with duck; blistered squid; whole grilled fish.
Chanterelles on toast, special burger, beef ribs -- all SO good. End it with the sweet peach desert.
Tiny brunch restaurant with great omelettes and a (very) creative Bloody Mary menu.
I'm goin the distance, I'm goin for speed
The East Village classic brunch. Excellent pancakes, Dutch-style (crunchy edges, fluffy middle with in season fruit). Good value steak and eggs and sausages and oysters. Don't forget the bloody marys!
The wait is usually long, but for perfectly done traditional brunch items (scrambled eggs, hash browns, etc) this spot has the ambience and the recipes. One of the best in the hood
Fried bluepoint oysters and duck wings
Straw and hay pasta with chicken liver sauce and lamb chop and fava and pea mash
Duck Breast with soupy green rice and peas. Crispy fatty skin and cooked just right.
Mascarpone Ice Cream with salted caramel brioche croutons. Just the right balance of sweet and salty.
Best bloody marys in the city. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Food is amazing
Dishes are rustic or downright simple (the famed sardines and Triscuits remain a staple), but solid. Brunch is a classic in its own right, but be prepared for the wait.
For being known for being dinner was great. Shrimp toast to start. Squid dish was ok. The duck was good.
Best pancakes and huevos rancheros in nyc
The chicken liver canneloni are out of control. The pan sauce on the pigeon is similarly incredible. Even the shrimp toast is awesome. Prune makes you hate sharing.
Bloody mary x10
Bar seating is a great way to shorten your wait and watch the bartenders make those famous bloodies; which, by the way, come with shorty beer chasers.
Exactly what I needed out of brunch. In love with this trendy little place
From now on, Prune will always be synonymous with "the perfect NYC brunch."
Brunch! The Bloody Mary is a must and the lamb sausage is to die for. I want to try everything on the menu at this little gem.
Try the Dutch style pancake! Tastes like a biscuit
2015 James Beard nominee for Outstanding Chef - Gabrielle Hamilton
Aggressively average brunch food for New York. At my table, the steak and eggs turned out to be the best choice by far.
Had a fantastic mid week dinner. Lots of interesting options. I had a great squid and pork sausage dish, and my wife had an amazing veal breast that was the highlight.
A must-visit if you're craving a bloody mary.
I loved the fried oyster omelette! Very nice interior design, ambience and service. You have to wait - but it's worth it.
Incredible duck breast and lamb sausage.
I want all the Bloody Mary's.
Don't discount the wait, in the winter especially, it's cold. Dress up warm and go get the coffee at blue bottle
Amazing food, I'll come back to give it another try. But maybe avoid a group of 3, they placed us on the tiniest table for 2 and it was annoyingly cramped.
