Airport seems perpetually empty because of the wide open nature of it. This is good for the traveler as you can often find a quiet place to sit. Seats with power are a big plus.

Love it or hate it, Myrtle Beach means summer vacation, American-style. Bikers let their graying ponytails fly in the wind & eat hot dogs in smoky arcades, and whole families roast on the white sand.

Nice little airport. In and out is a breeze with hardly any lines at the security check. It has a few nice options to eat while you wait. The 42nd Street Oyster Bar is my favorite to chill!

One of the best airports in the US. Its small enough to get through quickly yet large enough to get enough direct flights. The restaurants and never really crowded either. Its quiet as well.

One my new favorite regional airports, even better than pdx. Beautifully warm wooden beams provide a great contrast to the steel and cables. Also the only gordon biersch brewery I've seen in these par

If you fly any airline other than Southwest, you will pass through a brand new terminal with great architectural design. Lines are always wicked short. Can arrive 45 min before flight sometimes!

Really nice and quick airport. The security lines are always moving and I've never seen extremely long waits for ticket counters. Definitely one of my favorite airports!

When the check-in line is as long as the airport itself, don't hesitate to use the curbside baggage check service offered by most airlines. A tip is polite, but it is worth the saved time.

The Southwest Terminal (1) bites. Eat before you come to the airport. Charge your devices as well. Cause there is a good chance you won't be either of these while in the terminal.

Stroll around the campus of the famous Duke University. The Morehead Planetarium is a great place to take the kids on a North Carolina layover with a lot of events, planetarium shows & exhibitions.

If you are flying southwest from T1, find the outside parking lot directly across from the far side dropoff. U have to search the garage for the secret entrance but it's a hell of a timesaver.

Please check to make sure you seat belt is securely fastened. Your seat back and tray table are in the full upright and locked position & all carry-on luggage is placed completely underneath the seat.

If flying #delta airlines, pray to God you don't get a ticket agent named Elizabeth. Waited in line 90 min. just to be told that we could not board. Very rude apathetic & messed up our reservations!

It is filthy. I counted 21 dirty tables including bar area at 610am. I asked the server if they had a bus boy but she said no. People walking out. 8 tables 3 waitresses. Food was regular.

Lots of power plugs and free wifi. Some good stores but keep an eye on the monitors, gates change. Usually free seats where you can wait to your boarding.

One of my favorite airports to fly into/out of (and not just 'cause my mama lives here). Security lines don't exist here and you can always find a decent microbrew next to your gate. #TravelHeaven

Worst acoustics of any airport I have been to at the southwest terminal. I hope you have noise canceling headphones because I think it is quieter outside on the runway than in the terminal.

If you are waiting for a flight to arrive, you can wait at the RDU authority building near the rental car lots. Nobody will hassle you as long as you stay with the car.

The airline elite security lane has been closed down a couple times - don't assume it will be open since you may have to go through the main long line with everyone else!

Allow an extra 30-45 minutes for security (over what you would plan for other airports). TSA is notoriously slow here and doesn't seem to make ANY accommodation for busy travel periods.
