Don't leave ANYTHING in your car! The valet staff steals!

Brians bar next door is fabulous. It was once owned by Joan Crawford. The elevators rock!

Beautiful hotel! Rooms are small but the experience is worth it!

Good service at a historic building. Well renovated. The historic elevators may not be very handicap accessible or luggage friendly without help.

Rooftop access is nice amenity that you won't often find. Really enjoyed the original elevators, even if they are less than practical.

Can't beat the price or the location! Smaller rooms full of historic charm. I personally think the elevators are super awesome! Short walk to restaurants, the mall, and the trolley station.

Forget the bitching about the elevators, they actually run at a decent speed. This hotel isn't 5 stars, but it's in the middle of everything in the best way possible. Check out the roof top!!!

If you like nostalgia and historic buildings, you'll love this hotel!

Our two queen bed room was kinda cool. It was actually two rooms with a shared bathroom, but the enjoyment was short lived when a telephone in the hall right outside our door wouldn't stop ringing :(

Get drinks in the Togo cups at Brian's 24, then take the hotel elevator to the top.

Don't pay attention to the other post! This is a historic building & the owners have preserved the charm, including the original elevators which were once the fastest in the world!

Rooms may be on the small side, but head up to the Harborview Rooftop Terrace for some extra space with a dazzling view.

As many others said the elevator is old as hell, that's been 3 days and I'm still making mistakes using it... It's a historic manual door ;-)

The elevators are awesome. Must use a bunch if you stay here. Love it!

    Here's a tip. Get a new elevator.

This aint no 1913.... this elevator needs to change with the times...

Great and cheap place to stay. Know going in that the elevators are antiquated and slow, so either stay on a lower floor or just don't be afraid to get a little exercise.

Old crazy slow elevators, but they are cool.

Ventilation dans les cours intérieures très bruyantes, mais personnel sympathique, déco d'époque (et ascenseur aussi...): dommage que les nuits aient été aussi mauvaises! Pas sûr d'y revenir... :(
