Good food at a reasonable price! I'm no expert on Malay cuisine, but was nice and spicy (not too hot, just flavoured well) well presented plate. Very quick service, they are casual, not rude.
A pretty decent beef rendang. My Singaporean friend took me as it's her go to for comfort food. Very reasonably priced, they also have teh tarik, samba, and good laksa. I'd definitely come back
Upstairs and downstairs seating. Gets busy. Go the roti canai and tangy Assam fish curry = yum in your tum. Beware - the soya milk is freshly made so has a strong bean taste which some may not like.
This place was packed. The portions are very generous. I had the chili crab and it was MASSIVE! Very tasty and really messy. Don't order it if you're having a business meeting or are on a date ;)
The laksa is beautifully presented but terribly disappointing. The soup is half decent, but it's a mystery why there are mint leaves included. They added nothing except a strange aftertaste.
If you're craving noodles, do not order the Satay Bee Hoon ("special of the week"). It's just a plate of vermicelli noodles swimming in sweet satay sauce with hardly any seafood in it.
If you're a fan of morning glory (behave!) be prepared to pay the price! My friends adored the roti here and the chicken dishes are big and filling. Food comes out as its ready.
The chicken rendang is really nice, and a decent portion. The nasi lemak though, not so much. Reminds me of Madam Kwan's with less taste and less sauce. Overall pretty good place though.
Roti & laksa ok. Hokkien Mee is terrible! All noodles with barely any meat. BAD service. Owner told staff to bring us the bill in Chinese and when it came I told them to take it away. I won't be back.
The cendol has tooooo much gula Melaka it overpowers everything else :( but the sago gula Melaka is great because of the balance of tasteless sago and sweet gula ^^
Had the pandan pancake for desert. It was small and I was unimpressed by the flavour. I've uploaded a photo of it. It looks different to the pic in the menu.
Love the sambal fish, char kuey teow and nasi lemak. Oh and the the tarik. (: manager of the restaurant is among the friendliest I've met so far.
Authentic Malaysian food . Service is so so but at least you get some good value. Nasi Lemak and Penang Prawn are delighted, by London's standard.
Good Rendang Rice and Nasi Lemak. Good service. Don't expect too much. It's just nice, worth to come if you miss Malaysian food. Quite authentic :)
Great for sambal Nonya food/curries, and some others like Cha Kway Teow, but Mee Pok is abysmal, and Chicken Rice nothing like it should be.
Authentic tasting char kway teow and roti. Good lunchtime fix of Malaysian. Staff aren't rude, just nonchalant. I'll be back to try other dishes.
Kangkong belacan is a tad bland. Ipoh hor fun is passable. Pearls in pearl milk tea is not fresh. The Char kuay teow on the other hand, is pretty good.
The food here used to be good, but it wasn't this time. Not recommended for Malaysians who can taste the difference. The service however was efficient.
If you know what REAL nasi lemak tastes like, don't order it here! Nothing like the real thing at all. See pic for evidence!
Don't need to book whenever I go, there is always a table. Great food and huge servings!
teh tarik, roti, and nasi lemak not as cheap as hawker markets in Singapore but pretty good food for London
Missing Singaporean or Malaysian food? This is the place to satisfy your craving for home town dishes! Thumbs up!
I really enjoy Ipoh Hor Fun at this restaurant! The chicken rice, fried vermicilli, teh tarik and char kuey teow
Perhaps the closest to food back home. Variety choices, big portion, reasonable. Value for money!
I'd avoid the nasi goreng due to the blandness taste of the rice..chicken satay and keropok was ok I guess
So surprised this is getting mixed reviews we had fantastic food here which looked amazing & the place was packed.
Oh chien( fried oyster with egg) is really good. Other things not as good as C&R.
As a Malaysian Malay n love Chinese Malaysian food, try the Char Kuey Teow n Chicken Rice. Halal too
Hainanese chicken rice is good too the chili paste is legit with the ginger paste yass
Beef Rendang is delicious, as is Roti. Staff do need a lot of 'reminding'...
Super-fast service. The food is very acceptable even by a Singaporean's standards.
Nyonya Cuisine in London !!! How great ~ don't expect it taste like Malay style , it's Nyonya . c'mon
The food is quite good but the shrimp dish in the 'hot' section in the back if the menu was very small.
Best place for Malay desserts in the area in my opinion. Find most of the food OK though not amazing
It's not bad, and fairly authentic, though I have had better in other restaurants with more variety. This place is quite affordable though.
Hits: Gado-gado and nasi lemak. Chicken rice and beef rendang are not bad too.
The Malaysian curry and sambals here are the business. Nice and spicy too.
Impatient staff and poor vegetarian food. They literally just pulled the meat out of dish.
Great food. Better than C&R (in our opinion) in certain departments.
Good quality food and good portion. Efficient service as well!
Great food n reasonable priced. The ice kacang is to die for.
nasi goreng is great! and the background music is by jay chow!
Love the Nasi Goreng Istimewa, taste like the one in malaysia.
Wayyyyyy too much oyster sauce in the seafood hor fun. Hokkien mee is okay.
Try the Asian Vegetables With Dried Shrimp - Adore!!!
The nasi lemak here is more like chinese/baba nyonya style and not the malay style.
Try the 'Curry Laksa' pretty good and filling.
Teh Tarik is great..! Massive portions and great pricing..!!
Try the Malaysian Fish Curry - With beef ran dang in the background. Our new favorite place.
