People tend to check in during these times:
Once I ordered a gimlet and the bartender gave me a glass of gin and five slices of lime. Amazing.
It's awesome dark but not too. Not pretentious about their hipster ness. Nice staff and laid back atmosphere

Oldest bar in dc cash only but awesome.
Might be the diviest dive in DC. Your cell phone won't work inside, that's how old school of a dive bar it is.
Great little neighborhood dive bar. The "grill" part is in name only. But they sell snacks.
my tip is to leave a tip...dollar per drink. local patron...drinks are cheap..little distraction so you can talk...have fun!
"Grill" may be a bit of a misnomer. But they have a lovely selection of Utz pretzels and potato chips.
This dive bar is not particularly crowded, even on a weekend, and the crowd is one of the mellowest in DC.
$3 natty bo 8pm - close
Love having this local bar nearby. Great crowd, greater jukebox, even greater prices.
$5 gin&tonic. Yeah, please.
$2 Natty Bo cans till 8pm. From the land of pleasant living.
Feels just like my favorite bar from back home
Jamesons and a Nati Boh: $7. And best bathroom graffiti in the city.
Put away your iPhone (it won't get reception inside anyway) and have a real conversation.
Awesome original, non-internet jukebox. Go midweek to explore and chill.
This neighborhood, hole in the wall bar, is the oldest operating bar in the District. Cash only bar, and decent prices, its the definition of dive bar. Hipster haters beware
Check out the fantastic graffiti in the bathroom--it's a work of art.
Funny that it's called the Raven "grill" cause there's actually nothing that even comes close to being grilled here.
Get the porkrinds
iPhone wielders rejoice! This hipster haven is full of folks who shine like little Danny boy from The Shining but electronically...effin' non-psychic cheaty dogs!
By far the Best holeinthewall bar in DC
Have a jukebox war with your friends, dollar for dollar.
Try out their jukebox - great songs.
