One of the best local spots in Austin for live music and cheap beer. The locals will agree!
Red Eyed Fly is a notorious training ground for new bands in Austin to gain fans. More popular acts get the opportunity to perform on weekends if they attract enough numbers, making a great incentive.

This is where all the 'up and coming' bands start...true.
Favorite club in Austin. Great live local music and awesome staff. $3 Lone Star.

Best bar in Austin hands down
Lone Star is where it's at, y'all.
It's a bar in Austin. Anyone that's been the Austin knows that's all that needs to be said about that.
Ask for a Perfect Manhattan or Mandarin Cosmo!
One of the few joints downtown to serve Mickey's Big Mouth.
Loved this place... but it swallowed up my phone : (
Chuck and Ritch are great soundmen. Tell them I said hello
They allow food from outside. Grab something at Stubb take out and come by.
Haven't had a single good experience at this bar since I was 15. Buncha asshole honkey employees who need to take their asses to gaspipe. There's 2 really nice black dudes who work there but that's it
Did I mention the staff is basura? They think your real ID is fake & accuse your phone in pocket bulge of being a flask. Even when you're 30. (white) Bar tenders are rude & unattentive.
Avoid this place at all cost - even if you're seeing your best friends' band and they know the staff. Sound sucks. Employees are rude. Go to a REAL Austin venue. This place sucks. Spend $ elsewhere!
Brooklyn v. The Bay is where it's at on Wednesday and Thursday during SXSW. The Dodos & We Barbarians on Wednesday. Maps & Atlases and Menomena on Thursday!
Black Joe Lewis and White Denim play on Saturday at 9pm. Two on the rise Austin bands and you can say you saw them when!
