This totally unconventional Vietnamese Restaurant in Los Angeles is an homage to Asian cuisine without pretending to be a fusion experiment. Try their Spring Rolls, Thai chili and Bun Cha.
The chicken dumplings are a MUST. The Meulenhof Riesling is nice as well.
Bring 4 friends & order the brisket.
Enjoy this modern take on French and Vietnamese food involving very creative uses of herbs and flowers. Open late until 2 a.m., and very popular with food-service industry types.
FANTASTIC bar program! Order from the cocktail menu!
Brussel sprouts, papaya salad, chicken dumplings, brisket
Banh Mi is the bomb!!!
The papaya salad, brussel sprouts, and pork were all amazing.
Go somewhere else. The owner of this place refused entry to the LA Times food critic, then took her photo and posted it online. 15 yrs of professional anonymity destroyed by one douchebag.
For the adventurous foodies! Definitely try the desserts; it's their specialty!
Lamb shoulder! Thank me later.
Don't flake on a reservation at this passive-aggressive "restaurant." The bigger question is why would you plan on coming in the first place.
Service is horrible. Management is rude. Food is OK. Prices are high. Don't waste your time at this place. The hype is over...on to the next.
Excellent modern Vietnamese with a molecular touch. The Dungeness crab and spot prawns are a must. However, watch out for the large dishes - charged us $110 for the prawns, price wasn't on the menu!
One of the few places in LA that has Malort and Fernet Leopold.
everything looked beautiful. everything tasted bland. table next to us said the same thing. off night? dunno....
The perfect place to go for a late night bite.
Amazing! Food you haven't had anywhere else. Good cocktails that are very unique.
Drinks are expensive and tiny. I'm an alcoholic not a Barrier doll!!
Oyster Mushrooms A++++
Redwood ice! Peculiar dessert with a sweet finish, bubbles!!
Exquisite food. Small portions but filled with flavor and attention to detail. Everything is good. Come with friends and share, best way to explore this incredibly original menu!
The water here is great...
Late night menu is eclectic. The banh mi is incredible and is enough for two. Delicious cocktails as well. Come through if you're in the area. You'll be happy.
Not my favorite. Beautiful presentations but would be hard to recommend one dish in particular.
No way to describe the way these people create. Ask questions, enjoy, and be amazed at a simple discovery given.
I don't get why this place is not crowded. Still the #1 restaurant in LA on my list. Pic is the jasmin mousse, redberry, shaved redoak ice... Crazy!
Protip: order any dish that comes in a fish bowl.
This place is rad. Great cocktails and delicious food. Bring people to share with since most dishes are designed to share.
Go all in. Tasting menu is clean and beautiful
Cocktails so-so, food so-so, the only good thing maybe is that they open till 2am
Best in LA!
Tasting menu is awesome. It shows amazing plating and flavors, and encompasses vegetable, seafood, meat and dessert dishes. You get it all!
You'll experience highs and lows here... Great pork belly and dry Japanese style beef... Do your research before ordering
Order the scallops, beef tartare, trout roe, pork belly, birch ice, and/or green gage plums! Be adventurous. The more "mainstream" items on the menu are nowhere near the most delicious.
The food here is so artistically plated you might feel bad about eating it. But don't! You deserve it. Great drinks too.
Do the tasting menu and add the Uni. Boom. Wash it down with Zind Humbrecht Muscat. Top 10 meals of my life.
Upscale Vietnamese fusion; Amazing and creative food!; Probably the most beautifully prepared food anywhere in town. TOTALLY worth going to!
Do the bahn-mi & chase it with a frozen Campari cocktail. Enjoy.
While there is nothing Vietnamese about this place if you ask me, it's nonetheless very good. Beef tartare, chicken dumplings and lamb = all amazing. Beautifully presented. I'd go back.
Great food...& Radiohead is pretty much on replay! What else can you ask for.
amazing, creative, good for the mouth and the eyes, good selection of wines. the perfect combination... love it. the only weakness, it is noisy, very noisy
Pork dish and brussel sprouts were delicious! what is up with the fish bowl presentation?!
Nova cuina nordamericana amb inspiraciò asiàtica. Atenció perquè es una proposta de molt alt nivell... difícil de trobar encara als States, però apuntant alt.
