Getting to some of the points on the map outside the scenic loop requires driving down narrow, bumpy, unpaved roads. We took this to White Rock and it wasn't worth it. Stay on the paved roads.
Watch for tortoises on the road, and for lizards and bikers, too!
There's a platform outside the Visitor Center in Discovery Plaza where you can get a great view of the Calico Hills.
Use the EZH2O machine at the restrooms by the parking lot to refill your bottles with cool, filtered water. Or buy something to drink from the nearby vending machines.
There are two sets of restrooms. These near the parking lot and others right outside the Visitor Center.
Watch for this sign along State Route 159. When you see it you've still got several miles to go.
Sehr schöne und abwechslungsreiche Landschaft. Ist den Eintritt definitiv wert!
The 13 mile scenic view is beautiful, went on an a day of overcast & it was near perfect
Superbe parc national ! De superbe ballade à pied ou en voiture. L'entrée est payante.
It feels good to get away from the casinos, doesn't it.
Great place for casual hikers. Great views. Get away from the strip for awhile if you can
Love the scenery and everything here. Only $7 to go in.
Sabe aquele lugar imperdível? Achou! Se você está de carro em Vegas, não deixe de ir! Fica a meia hora da Strip e custa USD 7 por carro.
Beautiful red rock hiking trails and rock scrambling just :30 from Las Vegas. A highly recommended breath of fresh air after a night on the strip.
Great place for hiking!
Great spot for getting away from the strip, very close by and easy to get to. Lots of hiking, beautiful.
Love this place! Perfect for hiking and taking pics!
Nice trails and great for dogs. Download an offline map app beforehand. No cell or data service. Go early to beat the heat.
Free admission on national holidays.
I love that you can drive through the whole thing.
Approximately half an hour drive from the Strip. Stunning views driving on the one way loop with many places to stop and get out to hike or enjoy the scenery. The geological formations are awesome.
This was more fun than I expected... On the scenic go on the first hike trail, its worth it!
Gorgeous loop full of climbing routes.
The whole trip from a Strip hotel to the canyon and back with several stops for walking/ pictures etc takes under 3 hours without being rushed.
Climbing routes here are amazing
Stunning. Great introductory outdoor museum & lots of great stop off points for photo taking. It gets busy at weekends when sky is clear or interesting. Well worth the short trip to visit!
Beautiful park the visitor center is worth stopping and checking out.
Go into the visiting center to see the taxidermy, and cave paintings. Plus: do the scenic drive before 9 AM.Don't do anything dumb like jump on the edge of a cliff just for a cool photo.
A little but like Sedona but a great getaway from the strip
Mini version of Sedona
Definitely a must do in Vegas! Amazing place!
Do the scenic drive. Leave early so it's not too hot.
Awesome! Tranquil ! In nature!
If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, this is a must see! Bring the kids for a family adventure - BUT don’t let the sun hinder your views. Wear your sunglasses to protect your eyes from the harmful UV.
Enjoyed the first 2-3 overlooks with the red rocks the most. Looks like a nice place for hiking.
take the 13miles scenic drive...there's an entrance fee but it's all worth it.
Get there early and spend the day exploring. Lots of great areas to explore. Also there are some great geocaches in the park! Look out for muggles though!
Gets pretty windy at the top
Absolutely beautiful!! A must see if you are in Vegas!
Drink water. Eat your vitamins. Say your prayers. Watch out for Mountain Lions.
If you wish silent and peace, it's your place!
As always red rock is stunning :)
Beautiful scenery & great hiking trails, one for everyone, no matter level of experience. Nice escape from Las Vegas. Hidden waterfalls & picnic spots are my favorite.
Amazing vistas and love you can drive through And stop where you want. Best seven dollars even my toddler love it
Be sure to check out the trails programs and say hi to Jackson the Burro and Carson the mustang! http://www.redrockcanyonlv.org
Not too far so a few hours makes a nice Las Vegas detour. $7 for the scenic drive is decent, great hiking and photo ops!
