Did you know that Albert Einstein was among the 2 million adventurers and fortune-seekers brought from Antwerp to New York by the Red Star Line between 1873 and 1935?

One of the best museums in Antwerp in a great historical building. Several texts are also in English and French, I hope there is a good multilingual guidebook available.

It's a very noisy museum but I like the concept a lot. The lookout is free and has the same opening hours as the museum. Don't forget to buy a fancy poster at the museumshop!

A wonderful story told about thrum migration of people. Helps you understand why refugees should also have a right to live anywhere where there is no war.

Please make better use of English. The little guide doesn't match very well with the exhibition.

Probably one of my favourite Belgian museums. If you want a detailed history of the Red Star Line with a focus on the people who found a new life and home across the Atlantic, look no further.

It is about 20min walk from city centre and 5min walk from Mas Museum (very cool building). The museum is fascinating, very rich content. Absolutely recommended.
