Regal Entertainment Group theatre circuit
Increasingly inhospitable with search for food policy. Contentious and combative towards customers who are drinking as little as a cup of coffee. Effective deterrent to purchasing concessions however.
Massive theater with huge seating area. So many empty seats on a Friday night, we felt like the only ones in the theater
Kind of a dump but whatever
Theater itself was nice but the rest of the building stinks wtf
Great selection of films, but usually crowded with mediocre seats.
Free refill on jumbo popcorn
Always expensive and crowded. Avoid if possible.
Nice movie theatre, smaller theatres but always has a wide range or movies.
I saw Star Wars VII and it was great! Watch out for people walking out of the theatre spoiling it by accident.. Especially little kids will just want to talk about the biggest secrets!
Lots of screens and clean! Great for dates.
Mixed feelings here. The stadium seating was quite nice and comfortable. And the concessions were reasonably priced for the sizes. However, there was a rat in our theater, running around... Ugh.
Always have the most selection of latest films in downtown
There's a couple of good places to eat the area is nice and there's the 4 5 6 train also the Q and R train also the N and L train are there also the strand bookstore is right next to the movie theater
The rows closer to the front recline more to accommodate your view.
Always the worst line for concessions.
For me, the smaller screen size and disappointing sound makes this a last resort theater.
Saw Steve Jobs movie here today. So good!!!
As far as mainstream mega theaters go, it's fine. It's the one I use most in that category.
The screens are nice, bright and up-to-date, but the seats leave something to be desired, as they put you at what feels like a 45° angle. Good for a rocket launch, maybe, but not a movie, IMO.
Decent theater - their snack bar has a lot of different offerings, including chicken nuggets!
Cop a balcony seat for theater 4
I love this movie theater. It might just be my favorite in NYC.
I love this movie theater because it's the only one that shows Rifftrax live!
Could use a renovation. Amc is better.
Tiny screens and awful seating.
The balcony seats are great.
Good movie theater by Union Square.
The seats were pretty uncomfortable :(
Very old school look. I'd love to see old 70s Kung Fu films there and the audience would get all turned up. Like in that movie "The Last Dragon." Everyone is so pumped watching Bruce Lee films...ya...
Not the best but a good selection.
They've checked my bag twice... Was super annoyed as I wasn't trying to sneak anything in
Buy tickets online beforehand so you can just walk straight to your theatre. If you need to use the restroom and there is a huge line, walk up or down a floor and you'll find one in the same location.
The Budweiser of NYC movie theaters
Not a fan of the concession stand staff but all else is typical.
Very good place.
Just saw a movie in theatre 8 and the floor was so sticky my sneakers came off my feet! Gross.
If you ask nicely, the concessions lady will give you a nachos dish to make it easier to share your giant-ass bucket of popcorn
i went to see furious 7 and they had some issue with screening so we got a full refund AND two free tickets for each
The theater will always be packed. Get there early to grab some good seats. Get seats before you get food.
why do they check our bags
Convenient city location for a wide selection of flicks. Super crowded for popular movies on opening night, get there at least an hour early. One of the theaters has a balcony (4? 6?) Use it.
You can put the arm rests up here!
Arrive early & sneak in snacks
Not terrible for a theater, but not better than my couch: real butter on popcorn, free water and bathroom breaks.
You will have to make an effort not to fall asleep in these comfortable seats
Variety and comfort. Day and night this place is awesome
Bring your own snacks, everything is overpriced
Never wait in line. Always go for the self serve terminals that all those dumb line-waiters apparently don't know about.
Just a big theater, nothing stellar to say here. They usually have most of the wide release movies playing there.
