People tend to check in during these times:
This place sucks. Doesn't matter what company, every time I'm here, something bad happens. E-Z stands out as a particularly bad one. If you have a GA license, they will charge per mile!
They don't have trash cans in the drop off area - you have to bring your litter with you when you leave your car.
Pick up during the day, at night the lines are ridiculous and they need more staff.
If your booking a rental, make sure to check Expdia or Travelocity. Better rates. As low at $12.00 a day!
Don't fall asleep on the lengthy Skytrain ride between rental terminal and airport
Avis rocked. Thx!
Don't follow the GPS. Go to the airport and follow the signs.
this might be the hardest to find—most poorly marked with directional signage—airport car rental place I've ever traveled to. GPS is no help either.
Follow the Sign for Rental Car Return even if you are going to pick up. Get in the visitors parking immediately in the left lane.
If you rent at Avis and drive less then 75miles, be sure to have any gas receipt. Or they will charge you $13.99.
Avis are hopeless!
Avoid Budget. They use a microscope to charge you for gas at the FULL line. They also gave away my reservation after a one hour flight delay.
Don't rent from Advantage. $200 deposit.
Impossible to find!
FYI. Britax Boulevard Convertible car seat with fit center back seat of a Nissan Altima b
Super easy to find for those with literacy in their lives. I saw a monk today :)
Garmin GPSes will take you to the employee entrance 5 minutes away. Ignore their directions and follow the signs.
Coming from the new International Terminal with a lot of luggage? You're screwed: No luggage carts at the shuttle drop-off.
Never ever get the paid lock and load thing... They will give you the worst car on the lot!
DO NOT RENT FROM THRIFTY. They have hidden policies buried in the five screens of legalese that amount to them swindling an extra $60-100 from you when you return the car.
Easy to find, not sure what that other person's talking about.
Easy to find!
Hertz Gold rocks. Always. Everywhere.
Don't look for rental car facility in GPS, instead head to ATL and follow the signs on terminal road. GPS will take you to service entrance off the beaten path to return cars.
Take the red south terminal (riverdale) - then take the car rental return/center exit(s) - get in the far left lane and park in visitors parking
This adds to the insanity that is ATL airport. More escalators and trains = more time it takes to get to your car or when returning, more time you need to catch your flight.
Always choose Enterprise!
For what they charge to fill the car from that SMIDGET under the F line, just top off the tank at the pump....
Before you leave in your rental car, save your location in your GPS. The rental car center is new and not in most GPS units.
Really?! One f'n person running the thrifty and dollar desks. God I hate Atlanta!!
When using The GPS please don't enter enterprise as destination,... Put in airport .... Cause the gps takes you to a back road entrance that is no longer open
Make SURE you get a print out that includes your rates and any additional drivers!
If you rent a car from here, $5/day recovery charge for the facility.
…take the ATL SkyTrain for a scenic, five-minute ride to Airport (also stops at Convention Center GICC).
Not the easiest place to find.
