Casa Botín es un restaurante de Madrid que figura en el Libro Guinness de los Records como el más antiguo del mundo.
I really had a good time in the cave...
Food is ok - mostly nice but can probably find the same or better for a lower price (but skip the grilled veal). Do reserve at least a day ahead, we booked the same day and got 11:30pm.
oldest restaurant in the world. suckling pig and baby lamb are really good, not very expensive at all. remember to book few days in advance, there's no way to walk in with never ending long queue.
Oldie & goldie.. Love beefs but chickens are not so good..
Expensive. Come here for a drink outside meal hours and soak in the history.
I'm happy that I experienced the oldest restaurant in the world but the food was a big fail.
The Cochinillo is the best you will get in Madrid, almost as good as in Segovia. Beside the place is the oldest restaurant in the world, totally worth it.
Rioja from the Amaren is absolutely a gem, pairing the Squid rice and the signature Roast suckling pig. The service is world class.
Touristic but traditional and excellent food! Cod with tomato sauce and black sausage!!!
Oldest restaurant in the world. You can expect very expensive down-to-earth dishes. Hearty and tasty
Absolutely good..from main dishes to desserts
If you want to visit so you can say you've been in the oldest restaurant bla bla, good! Otherwise, it's a tourist trap, my calamari was like a chewing gum, everything else bad. Not to be repeated.
The world's oldest restaurant has outlasted all other for a reason. The suckling pig and the lamb are amazing. Check out the wine cellar in the basement.
Oldest restaurant in the world !! The roast pork Botin is unbelievable ;)
The oldest restaurant in the world, expensive, but quality is quality!! It also has the guiness record of the oldest restaurant in the world!!
For dessert oder their cheese cake. You can't go wrong.
This restaurant is very quiet and cozy. The roast suckling pig is fantastic and well worth the expense. Everything was great except that the band came around to the tables asking for money.
Oldest restaurant in the world! Best sangria i've ever had. Their famous Suckling pig was delicious. Friendly staff. Awesome experience. Highly recommended!!
Great piece of history
Suckling pig is delicious, big serves too.
It's OK, but not worth the hype. Go there for the suckling pig. Other dishes we tried were very dissapointing (including a very chewy beef). Unfortunately, only the big portion sizes justify the price
The oldest restaurant in Europe.Specialitυ of restaurant is piglet.Prefer to sit downstairs of the restaurant! Its a little bit expensive but it worths it
Suckling pig is out of this world!!
The roast pork would make a vegan take on the Atkin's diet.
300 year-old restaurant, must try !!
Listed by guinness world records as the world's oldest restaurant, try roasted lamb, it was perfect..
The torta de San Marcos and the piña fresca con caramelos are absolutely amazing.
Great food, a bit overcrowded though.
Best sangria in madrid 🍷
Baby squid in her own ink is delicious, amazing service 😃
They don't do sangria by the glass--only 1/2 pitcher or full pitcher
If you are a vegetarian, you are out of luck here. The only salad is a bowl of fresh cut vegetables.
Cheesecake with white choco is unbelievable!
It was a disappointment for us. The food we had was not delicious at all. If you appreciate good food, stay away from this touristic restaurant.
Try Botin Salad as a starter if you like fresh asparagus, have artichoke with ham!! Weak by the glass wine list but fantastic food& atmosphere...

This is the oldest restaurant in the world!
Bad food (and sangria) and eh on service. Honestly not worth the visit.
One of the best restaurants I've ever visited. Ask for a tour to the kitchen, it's amazing. The fixed menu highly recommended.
Filled with tourists but was still a great experience.
Book a table online in advance! It makes sense to do it 4-5 days upfront.
Food was ok but nothing outstanding.
Suckling pig, roasted duck, and sangria!!! Please and thank you....
Definitely worth the visit. The counchillo asado is delicious, sangria a great pairing, dessert is also great.
I came in by myself and they treated me like a Queen. A totally class establishment.
Really good food :) expensive of course, and some of the menu translations are confusing, but great for such a touristy place. Try the squid in its own ink and the escalope. Sangria is probs don Simon
Great restaurant to spend the evening with your beloved
Wonderful Cocinillho. Best ever!
