People tend to check in during these times:
If/Then is a must-see for anyone, especially for young adults just moving to a big city, getting a new job, going into new relationships. It's about the "what ifs" and "what might have beens".
Agree w/other 4sq post that orchestra seats are more like mezzanine, which would be fine except for the partially obstructed view of the main stage, preventing us from seeing char. on elevated set
The theater itself has an amazing and long history but logistically getting a 1300 seat house in and out and to the restrooms can be challenging, especially when you're walking on crutches like I was
If you cut your legs you might feel comfortable at this thester. Other than that, "if/then" is a great play. Idina Manzel sings beautifully in a brilliant history of odds and "what ifs".
A new, genuine, beautiful musical. It wouldn't matter if Idina Menzel, Anthony Rapp and LaChanze were in it, the show would be really good. But with them it's fantastic.
SEATS: avoid rear mezzanine row D seats 1-9. this theatre already lacks comfortable leg room space but this way you avoid sitting behind a wall-type surface. i'd recommend front mezzanine row F.
Didn't bother me but there's no elevator and if you have nose bleeds you have to go all the way down to the floor level to use the bathroom. Otherwise Porgy and Bess was excellent.
Romeo & Juliet w/Orlando Bloom = fantastic. A superb cast and just a great take/direction. Also, the Pirates of the Caribbean films clearly helped someone prepare for the knife fighting as Romeo...
HAMILTON-Phenomenally excellent energizing brilliant storytelling, singing, rapping, lighting, and street smart choreographic excitement wrapped around a moving historical tale of allegorical magic!
The bathroom situation here is absolutely ridiculous. One women's bathroom for the entire theatre. Make sure to go before you come to the show!
Steep rake which means front mezzanine preferable to back of orchestra. Note bathrooms are way way downstairs in basement.
If/Then started performances at the Richard Rodgers. Always check if we have it on the board at TKTS before heading to the box office. We're only a block away!
One of my least favorite theatres. The raised orchestra section makes you feel like you're in the mezzanine
Hamilton in previews. Opening August 6. Great show - fab music, dialogue, choreography and costumes BUT 30 mins too long.
Unless you happen to be 5'3" tall don't even bother. I am 6' tall and these are the most uncomfortable seats I have ever been in. My knees are killing me.
Alexander hamilton on Broadway! It's fantastic. Plus, you can easily wait for autographs right near the main entrance.
It wasn't that good. Idina is the glue to a broken show that's confusing and not up to par with her previous blockbuster musicals.
Seats are a bit small but I saw Hamilton so everything else is irrelevant. Go see Hamilton.
Very different, it has a modern take to it. Orlando Bloom was great, a few great shakespearean actors...
Hamilton is absolutely incredible even from the last row in the house. Unmissable.
Wonderful Hamilton performance in the most uncomfortable seats ever. No space for your knees, feet, elbows.
My mom is taking me to see this play after all what I went through with my breast cancer survey. Good to go out and see something different
This theatre has serious nosebleed seats .mezzanine is off limits if you have vertigo
If smbdy picked up the book by Junot Diaz '...Life of Oscar Wao' that I dropped under row F in orchestra please return it to NY public library. Thx!!!
Great show, but the seats are really uncomfortable with very little leg room.
Theater is run down but showing best musical I've seen in a while. Not to be missed "Hamilton"
Mezz seats are cramped but the view is great, even from the sides.
It had a slightly complex plot, yet I truly enjoyed it. Amazed by the performances and the true talent on that stage.
The lobby is claustrophobic but the theatre itself is lovely.
Great show. Be sure to see if you love salsa and hip hop.
The show and general cast is great, but Idina is outstanding
Only one bathroom, it's on the first floor. Be warned!
Try to win lottery tickets for the best seats in the house at a fraction of the price (20 some dollars)!
It is kind of Hollywood version of a musical but amazing casting and set design!
Incredible show, masterfully directed! Idina and Anthony slay in this show: so wonderful!
Went to see If/then and felt like surrounded by fans of Idina Menzel. But she didn't show up to sign:(
Orchestra Seats (Mezzanine) are fantastic
Excellent love it love the Theatre.
Hamilton was fantastic. There's a reason it's sold out until eternity.
Great Show! Idina Menzel is amazing as well as Anthony Rapp!
Great performance! Well worth seeing.
Romeo and Juliet is great. Orlando Bloom does an amazing job!
There's a reason Porgy & Bess got 10 Tony nominations. See it if you haven't!
See Hamilton, hip hop production based on award winning biography.
Hamilton is the best performance of anything, ever
Hamilton was more than I'd hoped for. So good!!
Four tries at the lottery but did not get in to see "Hamilton".
The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess is a must see.
