“Robata Jinya,” the trendy and hip “izakaya-style” restaurant, featuring Japanese delicacies, found its second home in L.A. after their huge success in Tokyo.
Melt in yo mouth. Chicken and oysters, tsukune, pork chashu, shrimp toast were all delish. Order the ramen half-size! Black ramen ftw
Happy Hour 5:30-7 Monday-Friday
Order the "special" ramen. One of the best in LA.
Albacore sashimi with garlic and truffle. Boom. Done.
A half-portion of ramen and a couple of robata skewers = great comfort food
If you want a ridiculously amazing dinner, take the chef's suggestions and order all the signature dishes - it will succeed in blowing your mind!! Best Ramen I've had to date!
Kill samurai rolls are delicious! Take them if you like crab meat.
Best dishes: Yellowtail sashimi w jalapeño citrus soy, the karaage is fantastic, Chashu Pork, Angeleno roll, and any of the Ramen; best Ramen I've ever had! Call ahead to make a reservation!
Chashu (pork belly) robata. Get it.
Mediocrity and undeserving price are what you should expect. However the if you grow starving, the food would be divine… just like any other dish by any crap cook.
The spicy chicken ramen (karamen) is one of the best i ever had. Delicious menu, affordable!
Sushi: go for the albacore with crispy onions and ALWAYS get some ramen. Delicious!
If you dont like something they tell you to suck it. Spicy ramen had a sliver of pork and the broth tastes like burnt ball sack. Had ramen 200x better at Chabuya. Creamy shrimp were good though!
Oyster shooter, uni shooter, handmade tofu, shio tonkotsu ramen.
Excellent Food. Terrible Service. Get the Ramen!
Meh service. If you're a sushi expert, don't eat here. Some of the worst I've ever had in LA. Spend some extra $ and go down the street to sushi roku or around the corner for nobu instead.
a little overhyped but some dishes really are incredible
Really small really busy really good
Try the Lotus Root!
Great super fresh and yummy sushi. The sushi bar usually has walk in seating available. The sushi is really affordable and there are lots of specialty items. I love the shrimp toast.
Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen = one happy Lara
Decent omakase that gets you super full. Good karaage too.
Beef and garlic skewer... And the Karage!
I had some Robata during happy hour. Yum!!! Like this place
It's a little cramp during the lunch crowd. It's a small space and lots of patrons. Be sure to come early to get seats.
JINYA Best 10 Dishes is #1 Shrimp Toast
Tempura Brussels sprouts and smaller portions of ramen. Count me in.
nice ramen! you can also order omakase byakko! it's nice!
The ramen is excellent, and for dessert try the green tea mochi!
Happy Hour 5:30-7 Monday-Friday
I want to try the reman.
Oh, it's cool.
Bang for your buck! Order Bento box
Great stuff...ramen, robata-yaki.
Get the ramen
I love love this restaurant. Omakase is the best deal, $35 one is enough for two people to share.
Black Ramen. Just do it already!
The shrimp toast and yellowtail belly were awesome.
Amazing. Get the truffled brussels sprouts.
Great food and great service!! Q is the best! He made sure we had an excellent party!
Beef tongue. Reasonably priced too. Enjoy.
Service is mediocre at best if you decide to wear t-shirt and shorts on a warm summer evening.
the homemade tofu pudding is amazing
Good food but horrible service. Beware, they won't honor the Four Square deal even though it's still up.
Closed for Sunday lunch! Argh.
Such an amazing place! Try their "Special" ramen (Only a few orders made daily), the salmon skewers, the shrimp toast and the Japanese pumpkin!
