Field 5: $10 parking fee, big waves, shower stalls with no doors, cleanish bathrooms, food court was closed, but there was an ice cream truck and a tacos truck. Water did not look as clean as expected

Field 5 has a rather extensive nude section, so not recommended for families and the squeamish. Lovely Montauk lighthouse is worth the trip.

$10 parking. Get the Empire State Park pass for $65 if you are a NYS Park regular. RM is less massive than Jones. Field 2 is a short walk to the beach. Enjoy!

A great beach for swimming and surfing that doesn't seem to be too crowded. And it's close to the scenic Fire Island Lighthouse as well. No pets allowed! Read more at MetroFocus. Read more
