Beautiful architecture, decent drinks, but it sure brings out a certain type. The beer pong probably doesn't help...

Rontoms patio is the best. Great for large crowds, very trendy.

    Gehlen Exum · September 29, 2014

Patio like you wouldn't believe. Ping pong tables, great music & ample seating. Drinks are strong as hell and food served late night. The fondue is delish, huge & cheap for a large group.

    crazy back patio, epic people-watching

Probably one of my favorite bars in town. Spacious, great patio if it's a clear night (go to Sizzle Pie next door late night for pizza)

The patio out back is great. On a hot evening, when so may patios are baking in the last rays of hot sun, this was nicely shaded. And the have Wandering Angus cider, so two thumbs up.

Try the Tomato soup and grilled cheese. They put cheese in the soup as well. Delicious.

Great outdoor patio, w/ pong pong, fireplaces, picnic tables. Inside is very industrial w/ concrete everywhere & shabby chic 60's & 70's retro furniture. Great food @ happy hour cost, awful service!

    Scott Kemp · September 2, 2012
  • Cooper S.

Inside has a great vibe for winter, but if its even semi-nice out, head out back to one of the best patios in Portland. Huge fireplace, an awesome ping pong table, and a speedier bar

    Cooper Smith · August 6, 2012
  • Brian V.

big n empty early (if you have a big group of your own, go for it), big and hopping late; with a huge, partially covered outdoor outback (with ping pong), fun times (oh, and a tiny fireplace inside)

  • The Alco-Frolic's Guide to PDX Bars

Rontoms is a case study in how a bar can get so hip that it circles back to lame. Things become more tolerable in the summer months on the giant patio, but the service sucks despite the season.

  • Darrin Q.

Fraternity boy crowd, but they have solid drinks, cool atmosphere and ping pong tables! The outside area is a great place on a sunny -or- rainy day.

    Darrin Quillen · January 11, 2012

The Patio is cool. Not really my scene though. staff is friendly and drinks are stiff ++

Okay happy hour menu, huge back patio, a portion of which is covered and the interior is modern and frankly, a little cold. The fireplace makes up for all that, though and the staff is efficient.
