The first UNESCO World Heritage List from 1978 year had only 12 the most valuable objects from around the world. One of them was Krakow - the Old City, the Royal Wawel Castle and jewish Kazimierz.

The biggest and well saved Medieval plaza in Europe! Lonely Planet's no.1 choice: the most beautiful European city market! Wonderful atmosphere - summer and evenings. Always fulfilled with tourists.

There is a quite cheap and a bit "hidden" coffee bar with beautiful view on the main market. Just walk into museum in Sukiennice (building in the center of market) and go upstairs on the second floor.

A must-to is visit to museums, both the underground one to inform about history (~1,5h) and the one at first floor of Sukiennice (image) where you can educate about polish art in 4 time periods (~1h).

All roads in Krakow lead to the Rynek Glowny, the largest medieval square in Europe. Order a drink in any of the cafes and admire the stunning buildings in every direction. Read more

Across the square are lot of handcrafted goods on display. But my favorite thing to buy for yourself or to gift is 🌹 from blacksmith. Best 🎁 ever ⬇️

Many restaurants. Good for lunch, dinner, beer, glass of wine...:-) Do not give the impression of being a tourist, you will be surrounded by "guides"... Friendly atmosphere, relaxed and calm.

The entire medieval old town of Krakow is a UNESCO's World Heritage List. The Rynek Główny is one of it's most important sites being the largest medieval town square of any European city.
