You can't go wrong with the pies here, from Mama's Old Fashioned to Sicilian to something fancy like sauteed portobello mushrooms. Sac's also serves classic dishes, like chicken Parm and ravioli. Read more

Final verdict/tip: The Sicilian with pepperoni is my favorite, followed by Mama's Style. Get Mama's (or any normal crust pie) crispy if you don't want it to go limp.

Garlic knots are a mid-afternoon to early-evening occurrence. They're not ready until around 1, and they run out around 8. Time your visit wisely because they are worth it.

Sac's is my favorite restaurant in Astoria. The pizza is second-to-none (I order mine well-done), as are the homemade pastas and gnocchi (Mama's lasagna!), the asparagus and prosciutto, and much more!

very good coal oven pizza, but sometimes the crust can be doughy. be sure to order your pie "well-done" if you want a little more crunch and char.
