Everything I ever order here is fresh & wonderful and the presentation is absolutely flawless. It's a byob so pick up some good saki and they will warm it for you. Only Nobu in NYC is better.
Hamachi Kama - this dish is not on the menu - if you don't know what it is, order and try it anyway. You will not regret. Limited quantities each night, when they run out, they're out!
Chirashi still has not failed
Worst hostess ever!
Genuine and authentic. It's the place to be for Japanese food and great sushi.
Chirashi all the way!
Best sushi in the area, hands down. Lunch time? Oyako donburi is filling and delicious.
Best authentic Japanese restaurant! Everything is delicious. The delightful Chilean Sea Bass is outstanding!
Try the fish jaw (yellowtail). Not on the menu afaik.
It's BYOB!!!Most importantly, be sure to bring adult beverages if desired :-)
Ambiance is great, sushi rolls--eh. It's OK, but lots of rice, not much fish, and the the avocado is too hard. Umi Sushi on the White Horse Pike isn't that far away, infinitely better, and WAY cheaper
Possibly the best sushi you can get in the tri-state area and most definitely in NJ. I have been coming here for a while and it's easily my favorite Japanese restaurant.
Definitely the most authentic Japanese restaurant around. You can't say that you have had Japanese food until you've been to a truly authentic place like Sagami.
By far, one of the best Japanese restaurants on the east coast including Manhattan. Amazing inoki soup, hamachi kama, eel and of course, sashimi
Definitely the best Japanese restaurant around this area.
Best. Sushi. Around. Philly.
Sit at the bar and chat with Rue and Taka.
Chirashi is my favorite. Was very packed as usual. Only bad thing was the very obnoxiously loud table next to us. As we left a table way up front asked how we tolerated them.
Best Sushi in the tri-state area. Try the chirasi or sushi combinations. Its BYOB, so don't forget to bring an extra beer or 3 for Shigeru-san & crew.
Best sushi in greater Philadelphia, bar none. Definitely worth the bridge toll. Watch your head if you are over 6'--very low ceilings.
Sagami is the best In the US! The chirashi here is amazing, as is the regular sushi. My go-to sushi place.
Chirashi here is excellent. I almost always get this when I dine here. WARNING: takes forever to prepare...expect to wait at least 45 mins while the rest of the table gets their food earlier.
My go to Japanese restaurant when I'm craving fresh sushi. Get the Mixed Seaweed Salad, Miso Eggplant with Chicken, Smoked Salmon Nigiri Sushi, Uni, Chirashi, and Beef Sukiyaki.
Chirashi is da bomb!!!
Forgot to mention it's a B.Y.O.
It is always rewarding to eat at Sagami. Have been going here for over 10 years. Usually chirashi, sashimi, and unagi here is to die for. Open for lunch (Tue-Fri) and Dinner, closed on Mondays.
